4K Sci Fi Film: FUTURA Episode One The Galactic Era. Shot & edited entirely by new Filmmakers.
Follow Allison James in this outer space adventure as a prisoner on the corrupt planet Olara. When Allie is captured by space pirates, she must put her hopes in a mysterious hologram that not only would help her escape but send her on a mission that will change the universe forever.
The idea was to take a group of new filmmakers and make a sci-fi short film. The set of Futura was the perfect hands-on training and collaborative filmmaking environment for new filmmakers to be a part of. The filmmakers involved came from all different areas around the country bringing their own character, experiences, and ideas to the set. Under the guidance of their seasoned mentor Ron McPherson, these aspiring filmmakers delved deep into the intricate process of filmmaking, pushing boundaries, exploring new Camera and Lighting techniques, and getting the best Production Value.

Is this meant to be a parody of student sci-fi films? Will each episode be noticeably better until the final episode is a masterpiece of visionary science fiction storytelling that forever changes how the genre is done? Does this signal the beginning of the end of mediocre futuristic fantasy filmography?? Or will this actually be the downfall of sci-fi entirely, brought about by a lack of original ideas as has been the accusation lobbied at Marvel and Disney???
