The Sapporo Snow Festival is held during one week every February in Sapporo city.
As the name implies, this festival is all about snow and ice sculptures.
Each site features different kinds of events and exhibits, giving you totally different experiences with beautiful snow.
opening its venues to the public for the first time in three years and featuring 160 sculptures made from snow and ice.
After sunset,the festival offers a different atmosphere from what one see during the day, such as lit-up sculptures and projection mapping on a snow statue.
国内外から200万人以上が訪れる札幌の冬の一大イベント「さっぽろ雪まつり」が2023年は3年ぶりに開催。迫力ある大雪像が立ち並ぶ大通公園会場と、幻想的な氷像が並ぶすすきの会場で2023年2月4日（土）～2月11日（土・祝）の8日間の開催となりました。
大通り公園の会場では約1.5kmにわたって雪まつりの象徴である大雪像５基を中心とし、中小雪像、市民雪像、ウインターアトラクションなどを展示しましたが飲食ブースの設置は中止。すすきの会場では「氷を楽しむ」をテーマに、幻想的な氷像が立ち並びました。夜になるとライトアップされ、大通り公園ではプロジェクションマッピングが一番の人気で、近年はミニスケートリンクなども設置されていました。
