The Chaoshan area is the ancestral home and concentration area of the Chaoshan people. It is an area that perfectly inherits and carries forward the traditional culture of the Chinese Han people. Generally refers to the three cities of Chaozhou, Shantou and Jieyang. The three cities share one airport, "Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport" (the airport is located in Jieyang City, the center of Shantou, Chaozhou, and Jieyang). The Chaoshan area has outstanding people. Mr. Li Ka-shing, who has been the richest man in Hong Kong for many times, has his ancestral home in what is now Chaozhou.
Shantou is a slow-paced town. You can choose to stay in Shantou for 1 to 2 days and drive to Chaozhou for sightseeing. There are many shared electric vehicles in Shantou, which are very convenient. I share my itinerary with you, hoping to provide you with some information for your reference.
D1: Arrive in Shantou in the afternoon
 Take the high-speed rail to Shantou Station and check into a hotel near the small park.
 Walk to the small park and have a look. It is recommended to go in the evening, as the small park is even more beautiful when it is lit up.
 Dinner: Try the local delicacy "Beef Hotpot".
D2: One day in Chaozhou
 Drive 51 kilometers and navigate to the ancient city of Chaozhou. On that day, there was the "Chaozhou Qinglong Temple Fair Intangible Cultural Heritage Parade", where you could watch British singing and dancing, twenty-four festival drums, dragon dance, lion dance, etc. After the activity, visit the Kaiyuan Temple in the ancient city.
 Return to Shantou. In the evening, take a walk around the hotel. Dafeng Temple, Guanyin Temple, Fire History Museum, etc. can all be reached on foot.
D3: One day in Shantou
 Today’s focus is the “Chaoshan Historical and Cultural Expo Center”, which the locals call the “Chaoshan Museum”. The Chaozhou Museum is closed on Mondays. Ticket inspections will stop at 16:30 and the museum will close at 17:00. It is free to visit after making an on-site reservation; it is recommended to go in the morning. To go to Chaozhou Museum, you can choose to take a ferry (Square Ferry Terminal  Queshi Ferry Terminal, one-way 1.00; business hours: 6:00-20:00, flights will be canceled in case of heavy fog) or drive.

☛　Small park🌙
The urban appearance of Shantou has been greatly affected by overseas commercial exchanges after the opening of the port, which can be seen from the small park. The small park is not a park, but the commercial center and cultural center of Shantou's old city. The arcades and streets are very distinctive. In the center is the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Pavilion, which extends to four streets.
☛　Chaozhou Ancient City🌞
The ancient city of Chaozhou is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China. The grand "Chaozhou Qinglong Temple Fair Intangible Cultural Heritage Parade" is held in the ancient city. The parade demonstrated the intangible cultural heritage of Chaoshan and ordinary people's good expectations for life, "good weather, peace and prosperity for the country and the people."
The Kaiyuan Temple in the ancient city was built in 738 (Tang Dynasty). It is a relatively well-preserved group of Tang Dynasty buildings. There are so many archways on Archway Street that it is dizzying to see.
☛　Dafeng Temple, Guanyin Temple, Fire History Museum🌙
Dafeng Temple is dedicated to Monk Dafeng. Because Monk Dafeng was an honest man, he did good deeds such as treating diseases and building bridges for local people. After his death, the people built a temple to worship him.
Guanyin Temple is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. The wood carvings in the temple are exquisite, and the Buddhist stories on the murals are also worth seeing.
The Fire History Museum, located in a building with a history of 120 years, shows the development of the local fire protection industry.

The Chaoshan Museum displays the development and intangible cultural heritage of the Chaoshan area, which is worth a visit.
☛　Vientiane City🌙
Shantou Vientiane City is the highest-grade and most comprehensive one-stop shopping mall in eastern Guangdong, and is a microcosm of modern life in Shantou.
