Scarlet and Violet are the worst. And it's gonna just keep getting worst because the fan base just accepts the trash because... Pokemon....

@petrbarborak5455 I'm not mad I'm just making a statement that points out how the masses will keep buying these broken games and thus the higher ups at game developers will keep pushing to release half-assed games as this becomes the new standard/low for the industry as time goes on. This used to be unacceptable but now it is slowly becoming the norm. I mean, don't you want a game that works and isn't rife with glitches and looks like it was shipped in its alpha stage of development? I know I do. Yeah some people are mad and reasonably so, actually. But who knows maybe it will get so bad that even you will be mad about it one day. Or maybe not, maybe you're a younger gamer and this is all you know. In which case I suppose I can see why this doesn't bother you. But you could have better.

@petrbarborak5455 yes I'm aware that it still is fun and that's great. But still we shouldn't be complacent with all the glitches that came with it. It sold a shit ton of copies. That tells developers it's okay to put out games like this. You do realize this just encourages other developers to do the same. I'm sure you can think of some other games in the recent past that had a similar outcome. I don't think my take is too farfetched.

People will buy literal shit because they like the way it tastes I guess. Oh well can't change someone like that, they are too far gone at that point. Problem is, the weakest links in society drag everything else down for the rest of us.

I tried to daisy chain m classic to 4k gamer, and I wasn't that crazy about it. I needed two usb ports for the power which were not readily available next to my Switch. One was on the switch dock, but I had to find another kind of far away. It ended up looking like an octopus back there. I keep the 4k gamer pro on the back of the Switch, and the Mclassic on the Retrotink 5x. I find that the Mclassic doesn't do very much for the Switch. Plus i have to set the switch to 720p because for some reason my LG G1 doesn't seem to want to upscale to 1440p. But then again, if I'm not mistaken the 4k gamer can only accept 1080p. So the mclassic is either on the Rt5x, or on the Carby on my gamecube. From my experience, the Mclassic really shines with 6th gen consoles, but not so much with modern ones. The real question someone has to ask themselves is the combo of these two devices with the asking price for a modest upgrade to the Switch? Having done it, i personally don't think the combo is worth nearly 300 bucks. I've tested the 4k gamer pro on the back of the Rt5x, and for 2d retro games it really works well. Those pixelated games really pop off the screen. Mclassic smooths the edges out, so its not good for 8 and 16 bit consoles. RGB Bob did a great preview for this device with those vintage consoles. Eventually the Retrotink 4k is coming, so that will make the 4k gamer redundant for 8 and 16 bit. I enjoyed your honest review of the daisy chain method because I haven't seen it done yet. Sorry for my rambling, just wanted to help someone out if theyre thinking about buying either one of these devices lol.

Does this setup work with the elgato hd60x and a regular switch oled dock? I plug my switch into the capture card, then I plug the capture card into my pc and into my monitor.

@Gamer Heaven hey i have a question. So if i were to plug the 4k pro into my switch, then connect the hdmi from that to my elgato, will the recorded video resolution properties be 4k? Or just native 1080p

So got the 4kgamer pro got it hooked up as follows. Mclassic with extender,EDID to keep Mclassic at 1080 and not passing through 1440 and then plugged into EDID is 4k gamer pro with hdmi to tv but I keep seeing a white line. I'm wondering if it's the EDID paid 8 bucks wasnt going for no 20 on up ones just to do 1080 also why the hell is the 4KGP SO DAMN HOT running?

Have the 4k gamerpro and mclassic set-up on the switch, the low-mid sharpening (4k gamer pro) with sharpening on my 4k TV with the anti-aliasing with the mclassic makes gaming on a large TV on most games tolerable and enjoyable. The highest sharpening is not suggested most of the time, even with the mclassic. The backgrounds continue to be too sharp even as you move a character into the foreground. Light sources coming from street lamps at nighttime in crisis core reunion...Zack looks as if he is darting in and out of flash bang. Excited to see how the set-up handles on other consoles

Are you getting a white line horizontal line going 1/4 down from the top of your screen? Because I am. I'm wondering if it's my EDID or the 4KGP

Current TVs now have their own built-in upscalers so I'm planning to go Mclassic 1080 > TV that upscales that to 4K. In theory

I have a interesting idea for a video, but I don’t have the money to buy like four of those lol I was wondering if I connect two of them to the ps4 VR1 and two more for the input and output running them with the ps4 pro and ps5 would it make a difference

Yes however it's capped at 4k 60hz so if you want to do PC gaming the mclassic at 1440p 144hz may end up being a better match for most computer monitors seeing as 1440p is more popular and many games cannot play well at 4k without overkill hardware like a 3090 class or better card

So I just bought an Mclass upscaler with my 2k gaming monitor. If you never used one of these, imagine getting an HD texture package update or something, plus the Antialiasing is pretty nice. Get it on sale for 79, I think it's worth it but not for the full 99 pricetag. However, everything I've read said to run the switch in native 720p then use the upscaler but I could swear it looks less pixelated and cleaner with the switch set to 1080p. Anyone else notice this with Mclass or others?

It would look cleaner upscaling from 1080p because it has more information to work with so it can create a more accurate image. I'm guessing the reason it says to run it natively at 720p is for more performance headroom so there are less frame drops.

@@Papa_Parry Ah, that makes sense. I suppose if I want better frames I'll set it to 720p. So far though I feel like I'm getting a pretty smooth framerate playing skyward sword. I'm guessing somewhere in the 50s.

When I daisy chain my 4k gamer pro to my mclassic, I am having trouble playing online and connecting to the internet. I am running the gamer pro at max resolution. What is causing the issue connecting to the internet and how do I correct this? Playing scarlet and violet btw.

You need to reverse the order... so you actually want the mClassic first (anti-aliasing and 1080p output) to the pro (sharpening and 4K output). That's the "win win" combination/order.

If i does chain them together i get an 1440p Signal... And i dont know why. I dont see the difference of with 4K Pro and without. Iam Sad... But i get a 4k Signal when i Bypass the Mclassik

I use to 1080p edid to combine mclassic+4k gamer pro. Becasuse 4k gamer pro can get 1080p signal.

If you don’t own the cart and don’t want to, and you can locate a friend with a cart you can borrow for a day, most big box stores offer 15 days on open box returns, while target I believe has 30. GameStop is 7. Almost positive that applies to media as well. Otherwise get creative with the shrink wrap lmao

I can't see any reason to daisy chain both adapters as they are both 1080p > 4K upscaler's. The mClassic appears to be cheaper and also offers an alternate 1440p resolution. The PhotoFast does not support 1440p and costs more making it pointless if they perform equally when upscaling to 4K.

Consols run 60Hz, meaning the mClassic can only bump 720p to 1080p and do some image processing for you. The 4k gamer is used to bump that 1080p to 4k. The mClassic isn't really used for scaling in this application, it's primarily for the image processing improvements.

Switch is pretty powerful given its size and age. GameFreak just has the most incompetent programmers out there lol. Studios like Monolithsoft or Panic Button have been doing the Switch justice. Xenoblade 1-3 are amazing games and look awesome for the hardware. And anything first party from Nintendo is almost always fantastic too.

Switch is not powerful at all. Even for its size. Most mobile phones have better processors which is quite sad. The switch is 2015 hardware at best.

Both good points. The switch’s is very anemic in the performance department however Nintendo studios work magic making games like breath of the wild and Mario party odyssey that look and run great, really working well with the switch’s lack of juice (like good game devs do)
