So true, because he knew Cruz was right, Paco was the leader when they were young and Miklo looked up to him more then he knew, Paco realised that in this scene which brought on the guilt.

"Come take a look in the mirror." That just set the stage for what was about to happen. Whether intentional or not sometimes we have to seriously look into ourselves to figure it out. These lessons can be painful but sometimes that's all we need. Cruz calls it poison and he's right you can't ignore it. That pain and hatred, all it's gonna do is spread until you open up and let it go.

@@luis6633 my opinion he played a great character. He carried the character so well with some examples like the vocabulary and the emotions were on point for this film. Again my opinion for this actor in this particular film. There are actors that acted so well in one movie and they get an Oscar. Then they dont do well after that. Just takes one movie for an actor to be born for that role.

Miklo did as well......in his own way. His conversation with Paco through glass. How he couldn't even hate him anymore.....cause it was him that set all this in motion. Even though he did what he did to him......Miklo realized that this was his path. The road he always wanted to go down and it was Paco who set him on that path. Magic & Miklo killing Montanna.....even though they loved him and respected him they knew that to accomplish what they had to and for the good of the movement he had to be sacrificed. I just wish they'd have had a bit more class and let Montanna see his daughter first. That was low......especially for Miklo

I watched it so many times. I still have it on VHS but would like a blu-ray even though DVDs are kind past tense. That stare Magic had in the paint shop after they took out Red Rider (I think) was effing scary. Hard to believe that same actor was in "The Distinguished Gentleman" with Eddie Murphy.

I always thought the lesson in this movie was forgiveness and to be aware of your actions because someone does look up to you and their choices be it good or bad they are subconsciously trying to impress their idolized version of you. All Miklo's life, he never felt like he fit in and he just wanted to impress Paco to accepted for once. Abused by his father Neglected by his mom
