El Gran Maja - Submarine Expedition
El Gran Majá (The Great Maja) is a hypothetical marine creature (likely inspired by Bloop) that was created by Borisao Blois. El Gran Majá has extremely long, sharp teeth, and its mouth is tucked back a little bit. It is observed to have 6 white, small eyes, and a huge mouth. This monstrous sea creature is 675 m (2214 ft) long, almost doubling the length of the Bloop.

I actually wish this was in Subnautica. Perhaps have it be the largest leviathan, but it isn’t super mobile. Maybe it mostly rests idle on the sea floor. It looks at you, yes, but because of how large it is, it isn’t aggressive toward you because you’re just not large enough to provide it the energy it needs. But if a Reaper swims by? Hooooooooo boy!

At 212 decibels water flashes into steam, and human bone shatters into powder. We can easily produce sonar at 300+ decibels with modern technology. We don't bother, because there's no point. Being eaten by large unknown organisms is just about the best reason to do so. Just give them a few minutes, and plenty of power and a modern nuclear submarine could probably melt their way through.

Odd that it has a high body temp compared to the water. Given the massive size of its mouth and extreme body length relative to its overall mass, you'd think it'd be using a significant portion of its body mass as a massive cooling mechanism.

eyyyy, sea monster animation where the creature actually moves as slowly as it would were it to abide by the laws of physics. I always hated animations that had a cool concept of a big creature, then the animator gets too uppity and makes it do jerks or rapid maneuver shifts that totally obliterate the illusion of the size on display. Big Boiz were never meant to startle or jumpscare with any rapid changes, they are meant to instill dread and terror that moves just as slowly as they do. Well done

What terrifies me is that this thing is smart as it is an otherworldly being. And the fact that after it wakes up it just waits knowing that the submarine can't move and just lets the fear sink into the passengers before slowing forward and eating them when it doesn't even have to eat, given it's size/ edit: inclusion at the end.
