Brasilia Drone Flight: Brasília, inaugurated as Brazils capital in 1960, is a planned city distinguished by its white, modern architecture, chiefly designed by Oscar Niemeyer. Laid out in the shape of an airplane, its “fuselage” is the Monumental Axis, 2 wide avenues flanking a massive park. In the “cockpit” is Praça dos Três Poderes, named for the 3 branches of government surrounding it. The iconic Congreso Nacional features 2 domed chambers split by twin towers. Facing the Supremo Tribunal Federal is Palácio do Planalto, the Brazilian presidential offices. Nearby is the Cathedral of Brasília, a crownlike structure with concrete ribs supporting stained glass. The adjacent, igloo-shaped Museu Nacional displays temporary art exhibits. The Brasília TV Tower offers panoramic views from its observation deck. Brasílias “wings” hold numerous hotels, shops and restaurants. To the east, Paranoá Lake is popular for water sports, while cycle tracks criss-cross the 420-hectare Sarah Kubitschek municipal park. Qué atascos vehiculares vas a ver en una ciudad sin gente ombe por Dios! Terrible! Qué desperdicio, de espacio, qué soledad, y qué ineficiencia. Un estadio enorme y mundialista y sin equipo de fútbol porque no hay gente... Éste es el comunismo hecho arquitectura. La verdad no hay como aquellas ciudades Naturales. Que nacen, crecen, se desarrollan y se ordenan expontaneamente, sin planificación urbanística y aún así se vuelven importantes centros de desarrollo como Londres, Tokio, Hongkong o hasta la acogedora Medellin. Ésta ciudad de Brasilia fue planeada para ser la capital de un país enorme y se quedó en simples planes porque Río de Janeiro y Sao Paulo siguen siendo las ciudades más importantes del país. Así que es un fracaso total, nadie quiere vivir allá los funcionarios públicos que son los únicos que la habitan están tres o cuatro días a la semana allá y luego retornan a sus ciudades porque no soportan el aburrimiento de este esperpento artificial sin centros comerciales, sin bares sin discotecas, sin recreación, sin vida social, una muestra más de que las ciudades no se pueden planear con ideología y mucho menos con ideas comunistas, las ciudades especialmente las capitales, necesitan intercambio, gente hablando, discutiendo, comerciando, interactuando. Y esta ciudad no fue diseñada para eso sino para administrar únicamente y por eso es un fracaso.

Os estrangeiros que vêem esse vídeo estranham a pouca quantidade de áreas desocupadas porque onde eles vivem há prédios por todos os lados... Brasília é totalmente diferente de tais lugares. Foreigners think it's strange due they're used to live in crowded cities, but they forget Brasília is totaly different from the place they came from...

Brasília assim como muitas outras cidades ao redor do mundo são "cidades do futuro" acho q vai ser cada vez mais comum a construção de cidades planejadas( recentemente o Egito planejou uma nova capital também... acho q isso vai ser mais comum na África , Ásia e América do Sul)

футуристическая архитектура ? Лол. Самый уродливый город, его построил коммунист. Вдохновлялся коммунистическими стройками Совка. Планировали и построили в 1940-1990, это самый худший период в архитектуре.

I also hope to visit this incredibly interesting city someday! In fact, this is not just a city with strange architecture in the style of futurism, but it is a "city of dreams"! This city was to become a symbol of social equality and freedom. And that's why real dreamers still live in this city, I'm sure of this :)

esta parte de brasilia se llama PLANO PILOTO (es la sede del poder en brasil) y tiene edificios publicos, el gobierno y un centro comercial, sin embargo, otras partes terminan por no aparecer en los videos que es donde viven 4.5 millones de personas como: ÁGUAS CLARAS - TAGUATINGA - OCTAGONAL SUROESTE - GUARÁ - GAMA
It feels very Soviet in many ways. I'm Polish and during communist era communists buld "Nowa Huta" which they planed to be "a perfect socialist city" of course like everithing in communism it wasn't the case, but when I look at Brasilia city it kinda resemble this soviet style of architecture.

Brasília was planned too, they built it in the middle of nowhere only to accomodate politicians, the capital used to be Rio, but it's safer for them to be isolated, away from the biggest cities

hay mucha gente que habla mal de brasilia pero no solo hay estos lugares en brasilia si investigas las playas y discotecas hasta babearás porque este estado es maravilloso.

Sim Águas Claras, Taquatinga e Ceilândia deveriam mostrar sim, assim como os parques urbanos da planaltina. Mesmo no plano piloto existem prédios mais bonitos e que nem são altos, porém mais novos e mais reluzentes do que todos esses mostrados no vídeo.

Jean Silva Eso mismo respondió Peñalosa cuando decía que no era necesario hacer parques en Bogotá porque sus alrededores estaban llenos de reservas naturales. Yo soy de los que prefieren ciudades arborizadas. ¿Gustos personales? Probablemente. Pero creo que en medio de un calor tan sofocante como el de Brasilia, la sombra y frescura que brinda un árbol no caería nada mal. A veces sacrificamos comodidad por favorecer la estética; como cuando las mujeres usan tacones altos a pesar de las nefastas consecuencias para sus pies. En este caso, desde el punto de vista arquitectónico tú dices que fue un acierto, pero no desde el punto de vista funcional.

A impressão que eu tenho é que Brasília só tem essas estruturas do governo e o estádio da copa... Nunca mostram nada além disso

Sou de Brasília e aí é o plano piloto. Tem mais 19 cidades nesse quadradinho do mapa chamado "Brasília." Ceilândia (favela) Taguatinga, Gama, Samambaia, Guará... Aí no plano piloto tem prédios que não são do estado, são de empresários, restaurantes (mas são tão chiques que você só vê a placa por fora. Kkkkk) tem a asa sul e asa norte onde mora o povo rico, (mas não maguinata. Kkkk) Tem o setor de mansões e o shopping "conjunto nacional"

la ciudad de Brasilia está ubicada en una sabana en el centro del país. Los aires verdes fueron diseñados por Burlamarque, uno de los mejores paisajistas del mundo. El clima del cerrado naturalmente no favorece las plantas verdes. ¡Pero la ciudad tiene muchas flores!

Então porque existe as asas e os eixos? Os habitantes moram na asa sul e asa norte, os prédios do governo ficam no eixo monumental e próximos ao eixo rodoviário. Se assim fosse, os moradores morariam no lado da cruz sul e lado da cruz Norte

Great video, but the city itself is too artificial, not human. I'm not against artificial cities, but they should be an improvement of urban conditions from a human point of view, not the opposite.

Exactly.... lol , ...i ve lived there ... its a very unique city , its planned , built from scratch , and that brings so many unique and different aspects to it , which we dont see anywhere else , but theres like absolutely nothing shown on the video , the guy just stood in one spot and flew a drone for 10 min .
