[4K CHINA] Discover the Serene Beauty of Geyuan Garden: A Classical Chinese Garden in Yangzhou

📜 [Intro]
Yangzhou Geyuan Garden, also known as Ge Yuan or Geyuan Garden, is a renowned classical Chinese garden located in Yangzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. Renowned for its exquisite design and profound cultural significance, Geyuan Garden exemplifies the elegance and refinement of traditional Chinese garden artistry.
Dating back to the Qing Dynasty (late 18th century), Geyuan Garden was originally built by a wealthy salt merchant named Huang Zhiyun. Its name "Ge" derives from the first character of Huang's courtesy name, "Ge Er," which he used to refer to himself. This name also reflects the intricate design of the garden, which features a series of pavilions (ge in Chinese) scattered throughout the landscape.
Geyuan Garden covers an area of approximately 2.7 hectares (6.7 acres) and embodies the classical principles of Chinese garden design, including asymmetry, balance, and harmony with nature. It consists of various scenic elements such as pavilions, halls, bridges, rockeries, ponds, and lush vegetation, meticulously arranged to create picturesque vistas at every turn.
One of the highlights of Geyuan Garden is the "Twenty-four Bridge," a collection of small bridges arching over a narrow stream, each with a unique design and name. Visitors can stroll along winding pathways, cross quaint bridges, and admire the tranquil beauty of the garden while experiencing the charm of traditional Chinese garden architecture and landscaping.
Throughout its long history, Geyuan Garden has undergone several renovations and restorations, preserving its original charm while adapting to changing times. In 1982, it was designated as a National Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit, highlighting its cultural and historical significance.
Today, Yangzhou Geyuan Garden stands as a beloved cultural landmark, attracting tourists, scholars, and garden enthusiasts from around the world who come to appreciate its timeless beauty and rich cultural heritage. It serves as a testament to the enduring legacy of Chinese garden art and continues to inspire admiration for generations to come.

Too noisy - need a different format - shorter and without all that noise.
