Imperial Inquisitor not an assassin. Bren, Astrid, and Eadwulf were the ones who interrogated potential traitors for information on political dissidents. In a way, Bren was like Garak from DS9.

That fight in the cathedral was great. Caleb as well as the rest of the cast really got to move their arms around.

Love that when Matt has Caleb fireball the party it’s not Matt that makes it 4th level but instead it’s Liam. Mans really said fuck it

5:08 and its at this point Liam lived out every single arcane caster's intrusive thought of fireballing their own party

Once when I was playing Curse of Strahd with a Barbarian in the party whose player was adamant about always being willing to tank a fireball or lightning bolt to get the maximum damage.

After all Caleb is an assassin, a terrifying murderer...

And he knows it. The guards in episode 127...no remorse. No hesitation. He crushed 2, and electrified 2 others. Veth said it: I forgot we travel with a hard core killer.

@@Blackestrose best part: Matt went old school and the lightening bounced back toward Caleb and Veth ..and through the guards a second time in the return trip. It was the DnD version of running over someone, stopping, and backing up over their prone body to finish the job.

Caleb Widowgast/Bren Ermendrud had lots of issues, but every now and then he let the Volstruker he was trained to be out and things got very nasty very fast.

This is true in more than just this clip. Caleb doesn't let the beast out often, but when he does it's apparent.

The best letting the beast out moment was when he was crumpling guards with Gravity Sinkhole when they were getting the pendants.

Read Caleb's issue of Mighty Nein Origins, you'll see how nasty Volstrucker Candidate Bren (yes, he was a candidate hopeful not an actual Volstrucker, his mental breakdown stopped that) could get. Trust me when I say, the ones who die are the LUCKY ones!

Wish we still had those health indicators, I really loved to follow it that way

it's almost strange that caleb his hands did not have a charging humm like godzilla's breath by the end of season 2 .
