About the series:
Verville is about creating an extensive city-/landscape representing Switzerland. We started with some smaller villages in the first few episodes, located in the valleys of the map and from there we worked round to the capital city of Verville.
Since we try to represent the environment in Switzerland, we need to provide a conclusive mass transit system, with a massive central station and loads of different options and connections for our citizens (fun-fact: the public transport system in Verville seems so good at this point, that we have almost no traffic on the roads. Traffic is continuously over 80%). Furthermore we need to pay attention to the strict policies about preserving the historical townscape, while also representing the strong force of gentrification in Switzerland.
Shoutouts:
Special thanks to my friend Andrin Rehmann who created the intro part, as well as my profile picture. Check out his amazing work: / redxpoison
Also thanks to all those asset creators out there. What you provide for us CS-players is just unbelievable!

Best listened with headphones! Hope you enjoyed this little extra content! If you're interested in the build process, check out episode 48/49 of Verville! Next week we continue the Gotthard Project!

The things you manage to make with this game every single time are absolutely mind-blowing. I've watched your build this already and still my jaw dropped lol. And the sounds, they are perfect. The time that must've gone into turning a Cities Skylines episode into this much of an experience to make us almost feel like we're physically in the train is so impressive TL,DR: good work👍

Wow. This is pretty awesome! Nice Work. Please more cab rides e.g. by car, taxi, tram, bus, train etc.. Or following a sim from work to home vise versa. Btw. I really appreciate the concept of Hans Dampf (KZread, Transport Fever 2), who presents in each video 15min of building, followed by 15min of video, to see the results alive. Both sections he comments, which makes it really awesome to follow as a spectator. Looking forward to seeing more of you.

Thanks for the feedback! More POV stuff is definitely coming, but it takes veeeeery long to make, since I'm a perfectionist in that regard, especially with the sounds. Live-Gameplays I stopped doing, since YT showed that very very few people actually watch those segments. Also maybe because my game lags as hell.

@@CityScapesYT Cool. Not Live Play. approx 15min Speed Building as now, but shorter + 15min pictures in motion commented by you. I guess it could be less work per video, then now.

@@lukasjsl But cancel dedicated cinematics? So like Akruas you mean?

  • @lukasjsl

@@CityScapesYT yes exactly. cinematics only as yt-specials or include it in your intro, which u update from time to time. So you have approx 15min speed building followed by approx 15min pictures in motion about the scene, which u just built, both commented by you. For this you have to focus only on a small project of your map. Means less work, but more videos. E.g. for one village project you split it in up to 3 videos. btw. how does yt algorithm values your 1min intro, which is often the same? probably you could start directly with speed building and then before you switch to pictures in motion you add your intro as a bridge. Or you shorten your intro. What do you think? :)

I'll definitely take the feedback and my lessons learned into account for an eventuel future project. I know some thing are not great done, in terms of satisfying the algorithm, but I still like to keep certain things for authentic reasons. Verville gets around 70 episodes, then it's done :-)

Amazing video, so detailed and immersive, especially with the added audio! I'm interested in making my own first-person cities skylines train ride video, and I was wondering how you did this so well? Mainly the audio and multiple perspectives

Thx a lot! Kinda hard figuring out where to start. I guess it helps watching IRL POV rides on YT. There I made some notes for sounds I want to include and note the timestamps. Whistles, junction sounds, breaking etc. Then watching your own video over and over again and include the sounds where suited

Thank you! Unfortunately I stopped the collections because it’s waay too much maintenance and just a pain in general. I do however offer the LOM Profil with all the assets for my Patreons :)
