Trivia: As I mentioned in this video, I went to "Onsen" or hot spring after shooting this video. They have a nice napping area where I slept an hour or so after taking a bath. Then I went into the bath again before I left for home. Taking a bath several times and taking a nap in between is a typical way to enjoy Onsen. If you stay long enough to be hungry, they have restaurants inside too.😄

Oh you lived there! Actually it was my first time to thoroughly explore Odawara. I normally stopped by only for a short while on the way to Atami and Hakone. But I found it very interesting this time. I didn't know the castle is very close and the Shinkansen stops here too! It's very convenient! Thank you so much for watching! 😄

@@VSV_Japan It's a really nice place, since you have access to Tokyo through the Shinkansen and Hakone is only a short train ride away the other direction. Apparently the reason why the Shinkansen stops in Odawara is because one of the politicians responsible for the project owned property there. Pretty crazy to think about 🙂 The beach is also nice. I used to go for a walk there on weekends.

Wandering around Odawara castle is a nice afternoon. There is a shrine and kids' area with some cute "hand made" touches which last time I went was indispensable time for my son, who was 3 at the time.

I think the reason many KZreadrs shoot videos in Shinjuku, Akihabara, Shibuya etc is because they can earn more views. People usually search with such high profile keywords and “Odawara” may have very little chance to get searched on KZread. But I hope this place will be famous one of these days. 😁

I was watching another channel (not as good as yours)😁.Something came to me!!!Tokyo has no birds walking, flying around..Think because theirs nothing to eat. It's so clean. In the u.s.cities there are birds everywhere. A lot to Eat😂lol..I've looked at some videos and they are not even walking in parks..Could you give me your thoughts on this matter??? Thanks Again your the best💕🇯🇵🤗😁

There are many birds in Japan too but I’m not sure if there are really many compared to other countries. One of the reasons I guess is because we (including me) shoot video in crowded places or in the evening. Most noticeable are crows, doves and sparrows. Especially crows are everywhere even in Shinjuku. They are normally on high buildings or electrical cables so our cameras may not really catch them but I think you can hear them. 😁
