They have benches up there, and encourage spotters to come by and hang out, even in this more stringent post-9/11 world.

In Glasgow we had a terrorist attack at the airport and procedures were changed to the extent that the spotters are viewed with suspicion by the authorities www.dailyrecord.co.uk/all-about/glasgow-airport-terror-attack now we have a strong spotters community and we are more recognized and welcomed. The 51,000 foot service ceiling. Similar to the T-38s I used to help maintain. "Weather? We will just climb above most of it." Also famous for keeping Sea Level pressurization up to a much higher flight altitude than most other aircraft used for medical transport. Helps keep patients safe. It's one reason the main fuselage diameters are as small as they are. Lots of fuselage pressurization cycle fatigue life and significantly failsafe fuselage srtructure.

    4 жыл бұрын

I'm a Learjet guy...but my main preference is the 35/36 model, and earlier. That being said, I think the Phenom is a fantastic choice as a owner/operator, because the operating costs are much less, and if you're willing to deal with the extra time en-route, there's really no bad choice. I think it's safe to say that most pilots would prefer the Lear, because it flies faster & farther. So, if my answer is not confusing enough...enjoy :)
