OH MY GOODNESS!!!! You are the FIRST stylist ever to properly describe the texture of my hair!!! Although my hair is thick, it IS fine! It truly needs tender care when detangling (it will snap!) and rest periods/protective styles. Wish you were in NOLA! 💐💐💐

This is such a good accurate description of type 4. I think I’m just going to get a relaxer lol. I noticed when I was blow drying it instead of trying to avoid heat before protective styling the length and integrity of my hair faired better.

Thanks for saying our hair might like its straightened state.idk why this curly cut lady cut my hair all crazy. 😭 It’s different lengths but I’m not cutting it shorter to even it out.

Curly cut stylists are typically taught to cut the hair in its natural dry state. The main reason for this is to keep the shape of the hair looking balanced when worn naturally curly. This technique doesn’t work well for straight or stretched looks. Thanks for watching 😊

It looked like her hair was kinkier and finer in the back than the crown and front. If so it's exactly like mine. Great tips

Is stretching out your hair once every 7-10 days too much? I stretch out on wash days and then twist up my hair until the next wash day which is every 7-10 days.

  • @moniquejenebeauty

I don’t think it’s too much, especially if you’re not putting direct heat on your hair and just twisting it up. Make sure you are using a good moisturizer and keeping your ends protected for maximum length retention.

Her hair is actually softer than it appears in the video but it is really kinky and naturally dry, which can make it more fragile than some looser textures.

Coarseness measure the diameter of the hair strands. Density is based on the number of strands her area. What you can see from the video is her density. Yes, she has a very rich head of hair. She is lucky. Her hair looks very well maintained.

Even tho these tops are probably true, it hurts my heart to know that 4c hair isnt good enough on its own without burning it straight😩😭

4c Hair is good enough to wear however the person wearing it wants to. That’s straight or in its natural state. Most of my clients come to me for protective styles or straightening when they aren’t rocking their natural curls and coils 💕💕
