The 4AG HiLux sounds so awesome and looks mega fun. I've never been in to offroading despite some friends being well in to it, but something silly like the 4A Turbo HiLux makes me wanna lol

That LS is very effective, but rather boring. The native 4ngai bird singing at 9,000rpm is way more entertaining.

This truck is mad!! This is inspiration for my next build! My chevy colorado also has the beans but now I wanna do a colorado build similar but honda turbo with straight axle. Something I can put slicks on and gap some subarus and then hit the trails. 😆 I bet this 4age could do it!

I came here for the Hilux, but that Safari can creep though a lot and has some power when it needs it. The Safari seems very calm in comparison to the balls out screaming 4AGE of the Hilux

The safaris are running a far more aggressive tyre which clear the mud at lower wheelspeed. The td42 safari works real well for a basic setup.

just under 200kw in this vid. only on low boost 11-12psi

What tyres ya running on the lux bro ?? They look to hook up nicely. What model is ya lux, yn63 or yn67

maxxis mudzilla, They definitely dont have as much initial bite in the mud as the silverstones / simex the others are running. but go ok once get some wheelspeed. It usually hooks a little better than in this vid, due to suspension setup. Its a LN65

custom made. the factory mounts on the frame are too far forward, so need to be cut off and new mounting welded on.

Have broken 2 . But both were issues with the locker not the actual crownwheel an pinion. Its quite a bit lighter than your average hilux so less stress on the drivline

Hello i want to swap a 4age in my 81 Toyota Pickup and would like to know what it takes to make it bolt on with my 5speed manuel 4x4 tranny. What bell housing do i need and clutch and flywheel. If you can help me out with this question i would be really nice thanks 🙏🏼

2860, the 2867 was a friends turbo. The 2860 is better for this power level and application none the less

Yes same engine that was in my ae85. (some vids of it if you go way back on my channel) different bolt-on parts now though, for a wider powerband. would go good in a ae86/5!

4 link suspension, radflo coilovers & hydro bumps. 270whp 4age on low boost. mostly stock drive line other than locker and cv's/axles. Only weighs bit over 1200kg (2700lbs)

@@A8vscRrabbit They are 33's, but measure up closer to a 32. It has similar clearance to the nissans on 35's, due to smaller diffs. they have been shaved also.

Not much 22r are great i own 3 and have had dozens but can never match the toyota dohc lineup

22rs are only 2valves per cylinder and will not breathe that much air

@@thaton3guy100 yeah but the 22r valves still allow more exhaust and intake with even 2 valves vs 4 per cylinder. They have a greater cross section of area, larger ports in the head and less reciprocating mass.
