Well, yeah. Lost their starting QB early to season-ending injury. Lost 2nd stringer, who had a host of victories, mid-season to season-ending injury. Lost third-stringer, who had a host of victories, in conference final to season-ending injury. Then lost 4th stringer in conference final to season-ending injury. I'd say that's a bad run injury-wise.

Sad way to end a legendary run. Feel so friggin bad for Purdy. He had a rare opportunity, absolutely stunned everyone by stepping in and proving himself. Terrible we didn't get to see if he could keep his streak going.

Kittle has such a good attitude no matter what! Every team needs a player like that. It would have been nice to see a real game between these two teams. 49ers basically had no quarterback.

I think this should be shown to school children. Very inspiring in terms of how to face adversity and to lose without feeling bitter and sore. George Kittle was just not phased from beginning to end and Fred Warner takes us through the emotions of the game and then hugs it out with his bros. This was awesome!

Kittle when all is said and done is going to go down as one of the greatest tight ends to ever play the game. He has heart and passion and skill

As an AZ fan, I gotta say I’ve got so much respect for this years 49s team. They were a lot of fun to watch this year especially and don’t think you could have asked more from Purdy. Everyone was raving about how the chiefs won with so many injuries… San Francisco literally didn’t have a QB

Kittle and Warner are great leaders. Never stopped being positive and picking up their teammates even when there was no chance left to win

As a Rams fan, Kittle is my favorite player in the NFL. Dude is just hilarious and does absolutely everything that is expected of him and more. He is the epitome of what you want out of a tight end and a person in today's NFL

I’m a Dolphins fan so I know how soul crushing it can be to lose all your QB’s. You guys had a great season and I was rooting for you- sucks you went out the way you did but at least you gave it everything.

@@justindy333 underprepared offence? We lost our starting (3rd qb) on the second snap. Then had to run with Josh Johnson. No offence coordinator can be prepared for that. End of the day you were the better team on the night, but we really stood no chance after that.

Y'all were under prepared for that philly d and it showed by our defense injuring 2 qb's. From a Niners fan, what can you do? Injuries happen. All the Eagles can do is play the guys that line up opposite of them. Shitty way for our season to end. Maybe the outcome is different with Brock or even if Jimmy was good to go. Good luck against KC

The moral dropped immediately, can just feel that "not again" moment. Injuries across the board, especially to the most important position in football. They still found a way to reach NFC ship. Hard to overcome such a big injury in such a tough environment.

My first season of NFL to me, and SF was the team that made showed its resilience im a fan now

Seahawks fan, but this hurt to watch. Much respect to 49ers. We'll be looking forward to playing you next season.

Thats why I’m loved watching kittle so much in Iowa. So much heart and passion for the game and just overall an amazing person

As a 49 this hurt we get so close we have been getting so close for the past 5 years i love this tired n through all the hardships and challenges well make it through just keep believing y'all believe in the faithful

I love how this is done like a classic NFL documentry, like Super Bowl 2 coverage, but with the wonderful modern day technology allowing for camera angles of everything and everyone being mic'd up for all our pleasure.

As an Eagles fan I was glad to get the win but the Niners were dealt some tough blows. You gotta love the positivity of Kittle and the defense. Niners have a ton of talent on that team and should have a great season next year

Yeah. Someone got paid that day. 3 4th downs that led to TDs. Our Defense was Monster. Held the hyped Hurts to 121 Yards. That si clouding the 29 yrd catch that wasn't a catch. So really he threw for less than 100 yards. Think about that for a second...then ask urself....did the refs affect the game? Hell yeah they did.

I actually watched football for the first time in over a decade because of Purdy and what he was bringing in a potential first time ever rookie QB run to the super bowl. Heart breaking for him and hope he recovers quickly.

This was so sad. I firmly believe it would have been an exciting game otherwise. McCaffery's touchdown reminded me of 'Old School' NFL Football. (70's-80's-90's) It was a beauty to behold. Even though I had no dog in this fight I am now rooting for Kansas City. However the Superbowl plays out I truly hope it is an exciting game.

I respect how they stayed in the game and kept fighting with heart til the end. They took it like men. The way they're supposed too!! 💪 hats off to that effort. It's a shame to have such a strongly built team come down to not having another QB. That is rough! Big respect!!
