49 Years NO MEAT!!! The Dr Milton Mills Experience

Dr. Milton Mills is so awesome for taking the time out to let me ask him a few questions on this Saturday morning. He just finished a few days and nights of working doubles and 3rd shift! We had such a deep conversation before we even started this video, we were both in tears. I really hope to include Dr. Milton Mills in on my next project, he was very excited about it. Love this guy!

I know I'll get flamed for this question, but I still can't shake not asking it: As a doctor who knows about health and is plant-based, why does he not appear more fit?? [Keep in mind this question is not an attack on Dr. Mills' character, profession, lifestyle or otherwise. I am just curious because I typically equate being plant-based with natural weight loss and health, especially when I see it from a health-related doctor.]

This is what I usually tell people. Not everyone is the same yet we can all be vegan. Some people have mesomorph, ectomorph, or endomorph bodies. He is an endomorph. This means he is and always has been and always will be short and stocky. There is nothing he can do to be tall and slender. He was also severely injured from a very bad car accident. This means he isn't able to move as easy. Fortunately he is vegan and this helped him recover the best he could. I have a video of a 6.5 foot 4th generation vegan doctor raising his children 5th generation vegan. People have different genetics and epigenetics. He also has worked third shift his whole life. This week in particular he worked third shift and doubles to boot. This was shot on a Saturday morning after a week of third and doubles meaning he barely slept the entire week. He also is very studious. This means he reads a lot. This is why he is so brilliant. He also watches television for a break from his busy life. He is also an ethical vegan. This means he cares less about eating a strictly whole food plant based diet like Dr Fuhrman or Dr Esselstyn. So due to his busy schedule presenting, working,, caring for his family,, reading,, and being an ethical vegan, etc... he enjoys processed vegan food from time to time. So he may be overweight. He understands this which is why when he had nephews staying with him he hired someone to come in and cook healthier whole plant foods for them. Because he is vegan being overweight isn't the same as eating animals and being overweight. Vegans with the same BMI as non vegans have subcutaneous fat whereas the non vegans have more dangerous visceral intramyocellular lipids that are more likely to cause cardiometabolic diseases. As you can see on my channel most vegans are different. This is because we are all different but we can all be vegan. You can be a vegan athlete, vegan body builder, vegan that's skinny, a vegan that's fat, a vegan that's a healthnut, a junk food vegan, a vegan atheist, a vegan that is religious, a vegan musician, a vegan actor, a vegan politician, you can be a vegan and be anything you want except for an animal abusing necrovore that ingests animal body parts and secretions.

I utilized a strick raw vegan diet and got down to a healthy weight. I'll never forget what I wrote in my journal after only 4 weeks. " I will never forget how great I feel today!" I had/have the female stereo typical "stocky" Italian body type. But eating the way he explains to his patients to eat morphed my body to a healthy active young feeling 51 year old. Stayed this way for almost 5 years. Till " the vid" hit. Couldn't go to the gym I didn't have a good discipline in place outside the gym. Allowed my self to start eatting too many nuts, too much pasta, bread "comfort" food. The fear porn went through the roof and this builds cortisol. The same thing that happens to animals at slaughter. A recipe for weight gain. 20 lbs in 3 months piled on. Why I write this is because. Sure we should care about the animals however we need to care about ourselves. It shouldn't be "oh, we don't care what you eat as long as you don't eat meat!" PLEASE... his message here is to SAVE YOURSELF and by the way you saving the animals too! Donuts and potatoe chips are vegan but they will KILL YOU if you don't find a balance. God created the perfect engine. On this planet he created the perfect fuel. Eat from the garden, not the shelf. Thank you Dr. Mills. I love your compassion to care about people and your message here and all the truth about health conference videos! God blesses you! ☮❤⚖🌎

I thought about this over the weekend when I was videographing another doctor that I soon will be releasing. The doctor I videographed has a son who is also a doctor and he works 12 to 14 hour shifts 7 days straight on and off, long hours kind of like this doctor does. They told me that it's extremely hard to eat healthy in the hospital because they're very busy and the cafeteria there is just horrible. I couldn't help but think about how difficult it must be for these doctors when he goes to work all day for decades and is around a bunch of apathetic people from patients to colleagues and a cafeteria that fosters the very diseases he's treating. This world is not conducive to a healthy lifestyle but we just do the best we can when we actually care and try. ❤

They tried intimidating me at my old workplace when we would have meetings and parties. The first assistant used to always make sure that there were options for me as a vegan. After they fired her, they planned a party and looked at me and said "i will NOT be making and special accomodations for those that don't eat meat and cheese. We will be having pepperoni pizza, wings, hoagies etc. If you don't like it, please bring your own food. I decided to just not go to work nor the party. I stayed home and wrote and published an international vegan cookbook, and started vegan catering.

Vegans still eat foods that are poison to humans, bread, sugar, cake, cookies, chips, soda, alcohol, cereal, pasta, etc etc...To be healthy one needs to stop consuming all processed foods and sugar also, and to get to the next level of health humans need to eat a raw diet and a raw diet only, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds...

@Jason Dadude I don’t have a dog in this fight nonetheless there are hundreds of thousands of healthy people who live well into their 70s and 80s that have been vegan from birth and there are others who have experienced sicknesses even though they were not meat eaters. It’s always concerning when we as people think it’s okay to attack or attempt to demean or belittle another person because of his or her belief. During my college years time was a class and we had an excellent professor. Always evaluate time prior to pressing send is my personal practice because I get excited about any topic that is passionate to me.

The title should be why vegan doctors dr mill like to hate anything that's non-Vegan I can make a whole video about why brown rice is unhealthy because the high level of arsenic cause cancer so therefore brown rice is unhealthy what about the DHA IN Fish is better than ALA in plants and much more bioavailable I think I would rather listen to what longest living healthy Japanese are eating whole food unprocessed diets just because most vegans are less likely to smoke and drink alcohol and eat less processed food doesn't mean that vegan diets are Heather at all the fact that pesco-vegetarians had the lowest hazard ratio for all-cause mortality in the Adventist Health Study 2 despite pollution? I can see the ecological and other ethical problems with eating seafood, but doesn't epidemiology contradict the claim that a vegan diet is healthier than a pescovegetarian diet? I don't think I know better, it's just that I see some contradiction here. This study on vegans' use of saying vegan being Heather than meat-eater has clearly shown the opposite true with the fish-eater this doesn't mean vegan diets are unhealthy but not optimal as whole food plants based with some fish since this diet provides all the nutrients from plants and B12 DHA and more biologically available vitamins A and D, therefore, non-vegan diets can be slightly Heather than WFPBD Not all vegans eat this diet vegans do eat refined carbs also added vegetable oils are and mock meats are not correct to say that vegans are automatically Heather because their diet is vegan nice logic very non-biased video 😂😂

I had a very series road accident in January, I was in hospital for some time. My wife told them that I was vegan so for lunch and dinner they served me a plate of lattice tomato cucumber and carrot every day. I thought I can put up with this until I go home but I was in a lot longer than i expected, finally I had to cave I told them that I will starve to death If this is all I get, I said give me what every one else was getting. I still wouldn't eat the meat I'd pick what I could and leave anything that was obviously animal product. Once home I regained my much preferred diet. I don't understand how a hospital can be so ignorant about nutrition.

@@jackson1342 I mean you can always get your EPA and DHA from algae which is where fishes obtain it on the first place. And B12 is a subject that is clearly explained. I don't see why it would, after all that, be that of a crime to say that WFPB are really healthy. There will always be some really precise physiologic argument like why this vitamine or this aminoacid should defend meat-eating. But then you see so many people thriving on WFPB and that shit, imo, becomes delusional arguments. There are just some scientifics that actually care about nature and sentient beings and I don't think that's a 'bias'. That's just being genuinely a good scientist, therapist and human overall. What is wrong about WFPBD being slightly less healthy than WFPBD+fish? You realize that's literally an argument in favor of WFPB? Add the fish or not, your diet is incredibly good, and that's why it is being so effective on this man's patients.

I’ve been very aware of Dr Mills over the years and have deeply appreciated his contributions in several of the popular vegan documentaries - and especially his mentioning of animal welfare, but this interview and learning about his own journey - and especially hearing him talk about his experience at the slaughterhouse - was so powerful... This interview really shows the depth of his heart and character. ❤️🙏 I also really appreciated his comments on those who refuse to take personal responsibility, and his emotional recount of success stories. More doctors need to hold their patients accountable, and more doctors need to be held accountable by being educated on plant based nutrition and disease causation, prevention and reversal!!

Thank you Dr. Milton Mills for this very inspiring testimony, and for boldly proclaiming what God intended for His Creation to eat. I recently changed to eating plant based, and will never eat the flesh of animals again. The animals of this earth are suffering in so many different ways....whether it be for food consumption, or clothes, or shoes, or purses....the list goes on and on. I truly wish I had been taught to be Plant Based from birth....instead of being conditioned to love the taste of dead things. May God continue to Bless you, and work through you in all that you do.

How you getting on? What you been struggling with a year into your diet change. It's funny as I've known some vegans who still struggle of not more with sickness in older age 60+ a famous vegan was Linda McCartney spouse to Singer Paul McCartney, she died of a form of Cancer. There is no doubt many health benefits to dropping meat but in doing so I think we should use the philosophy as a bench mark and tailor our diet to what our body calls for.
