I’m a born and raised Texan but spent a few years living near the Kentucky / Virginia line. This song and video pulls me back.

This is Isaac's older brother Adam. This is something special. He gave a gift to the state of Virginia and to Russell County. To "our" home. Long after we are all gone this song will still be here.

Russell County born and raised and proud of it, had to move because of work, but it will always be home

That entire verse about being reunited in a tomb and planting seeds of hope brings tears to my eyes. My husband and I separated last year for 4 months. A lot of the reasons I left were related to where we lived in Bishop, VA. While I was in SC he moved from there and rented a place for us in Lebanon, very close to the actual Russell County line. We have fell for each other all over again. We both buried our pride and planted seeds of hope. Your song is literally my life.

That's where I'm from back in elk garden. I never thought I would miss it so much. I moved to Florida year's ago and got my feet stuck in the wet concrete! Mom and dad are buried there in Lebanon Va. And I will always love and miss them

That area Keeps a part of your heart when you leave I've been gone from there for 30 years ,and this still makes that part bleed I went to Cleavland Middle in 1985 Started Lebanon High in '87 :)

This is one of the most poetic country songs I’ve heard. There’s some lines in here that bring a tear to my eye

​@andytuke8986 yes. County line is the border between one county and the next. Often the county lines were drawn on natural boundaries, rivers ridge lines etc. Iften the county line is scenic. Also often the furthest from towns so rural and sometimes a little rough.

Love that Clinch River living. Have to be here to understand it.

One of the best live bands I’ve ever heard…

We are all proud. There is so many stories that need to be told about life in the Appalachians. Thank you guys for representing and telling a few of those stories. Life here is definitely different and not at all what people think it would be so please continue to get that life story out there

My Daddy was born in Elk Garden up at War Ridge. He went to Elk Garden to school. I miss my Daddy who passed away and miss our 2 oldest Children who live in Kentucky now.

Lived and grew up in Lebanon Va .All my family buried there.

Old castlewood was my playground growing up. Lived right at fort Gibson church. I’m not sure but either the red brick building or the other one my family lived until I was like two. Then we moved up the hill. I need to go back and take a good ole nostalgic drive. That’s home. So many memories.

Lovely just lovely. I play this just about every morning. I sing it to myself after a lifetime of beating the shit out of myself. I will live like never before, God willing.

This is awesome. No place in SWVA like Russell county! No place in the country like SWVA!

SWVA represent! Grew up in Tazewell county, but have since moved to Richmond. Nothing beats this Appalachian sound.

Does anybody have a guess as to why I've seen these boys in Asheville, Brevard, Bristol, and Wytheville? This video and song. One of the greatest things that my great grandmother said to me when I was young was "If there isn't any music going on here tonight, there will surely be music over the mountain in the next valley." I've been to Russell County when my father was alive He was born in Clinchfield . This song is so beautiful! Makes me cry....in a good way.

I know exactly where Clinchfield is. Just outside of the little town of Cleveland Virginia.

These guys… good lord they’re so great. It’s so beautiful that nowadays music can travel so easily everywhere from anywhere. I doubt in the 90’s, in Italy, I’d be able to discover such an incredible pearl. Love their music, can’t stop listening to it. Can’t stop singing it (“It’s a shame” I just love it!)

So true! One of the great things about the internet!!! I visited family in Abruzzo (from California) in 1997. At home we were listening to the spice girls, 2pac, and the macarena to single out a few ... But in Italy on the juke box it was Michael Jackson, Queen, the Beatles, classics no doubt but just ages behind modern hitmakers of the era!! 😮 And not to mention it took 2 weeks to send a LETTER across the pond in the mail! Oh how fast things have changed!!!

Such a truly beautiful song. I cried listening to it while watching the scenery. Couldnt help it. I had friends & family in the area shown, and up the little dirt road that goes on up that hill for a little ways. Spent much time down there as a little kid. College and life had me going other places. This video made me homesick and since the past 2 yrs, I no longer take anything for granted. I believe those of u still in or near Russell County are in a very special place. A friend sent me this link. I play this song all the time and love the other songs, too. Ive ordered the CD. We'll be seeing you all when u come to our area. If I had a dollar for how many times we all went tubing down the Clinch, swimming, or fishing. The memories, culture, Applacians, and adventures will always be a part of me. Thank you for this special song and for the video scenery. Hi to all my cousins still there, lol. This is one hell of a talented band. I love the unique, raw, smooth, Appalacian, southern rock sound! it's so fresh!! This band has more talent and better music than so much garbage playing on the radio. They tell really good stories in their songs. It's not the same old same, boring sounds.

doesn't this video make you wish you were there. its got to be so beautiful in the fall. Love that cross on the peak looking over the valley with that long view of mountains, those tracks and river running underneath that bridge. well i found this place on google map and i saved it. so durning my travels if i'm near by i can stop by for a visit. maybe stand next to that cross and admire god's creation. so if you see some NY plates with this tune playing and somebody singing out of tune. it's only me.

I just heard Russell County Line about a month ago. I can’t tell you enough how much it means to me. The idea hat Russell County would be in such a great song brought happy tears to me. My family is from Castlewood , in Russell County. Spent every summer there until I was 12years of. And went back as much as possible snc. My Pepa and Uncle Plumgranny owned and ran only gas station in hat town. Pepa was Howard Suit. Uncle plumgranny was his son. I am blown away hat his is such a huge song ❤️

I work away from home, my family comes with me most of the time, but for the last 3 months I’ve been away from home and haven’t seen my wife or kids much to speak of, and this song just nails that feeling. Seeing different parts of the country is great, but there’s just something about being home and with your loved ones. I’m glad to be here before the blow up I’m sure will happen! Best wishes guys
