48V Battery Review for a Vevor 48V Brushless DC Motor and Controller

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Going over the Lithium battery you need to power the Vevor Brushless DC Motor Kit - I have gone with a 48v 15AH D034 Lithium Battery - In the video I will go over the specs, size, how to wire it in and how to not get ripped off.
I also learned how to get a speed reading on the display.
This is the link for the battery in the video

Nice video! I have the same one as well (did) just keep an eye on your first time full charge voltage. After my 7th charge it was barely charging up to right about 46 volts. I hadn’t ran it hard or anything and never drained it to E or let it sit long on E. FYI just incase am zon has them here in us right now free shipping the 48v 20AH SAME BUILD SHAPE AS YOURS FOR ONLY $220.00 Sorry didn’t notice I was going in caps! Lol But $220 free shipping with great build quality I’ve only got to run mine 3x in the last 2 weeks but went far on all and I tell ya the thing kicks! AGOMOLA I think the name is of the company brand or what not and arrived in about 4 days. I saw a 15ah 48v one for $165 free shipping and another $185 free SH. Nice vid like the reviews let’s see that build coming along! :)

I am planning to get Vevors 72 V 3000 W motor. The original plan for batteries was to get 6 12V batteries and connect them and then make a battery management system and all that. If the controller steps the voltage up to the motors operating voltage, then if I use only 3 12V batteries will it still effectively run the motor but with just half the run time? Or is the “voltage correction” of the controller only meant for a small range around the desired motor voltage to handle spikes or dips in the battery voltage. Regardless I appreciate the time spent basically making a spec description as theres seems to not be a lot of documentation for Vevors controller. Thanks!

Very good information and videoing! Could you explain how the ''3 speed wire'' is connected and how it works?

Yeah sure, so think of the motor configuration as always running full speed, if you do nothing, the motor will always run at 100 percent. If you connect a 3 position switch into the plug for the speed control, the 3 points on the switch will be 1, 2 and 3, with 3 being the fastest. 3 is also the same value if no switch is connected. Speed 1 and 2, is effectively only sending a signal to the controller telling it to reduce the output to the motor. I will try my best to explain this better with a drawing in another video

I've got the same motor but the reverse runs slower then forwards and when I went to install it to the mounting bracket it will run in reverse to make the it go forward how can I change the polarity to make it run forwards please

Does the motor need 13A to work? I put 4x12V in series withaH at 3.5. Nothing happened- meter said 48V was making it to the controller however.

Good afternoon, I live in Cuba. I need you to tell me which battery to use for a tricycle for two passengers plus the driver, how many amps should the battery be for this type of motor, Vevor 48 V? I hope your help, thanks.

@Judvh Very true it also depends on the tire rolling diameter ie: a tire with a 30cm diameter will be faster than a tire with a 20cm diameter with the same rpm and ratios

Something's crazy with the lithium battery market. You get fake ampHour ratings for packs and even for individual cells everywhere. I've never seen such a strange, false market before. Anyway. From my experience with this stuff your ampHour/ah rating is distance/mileage and the volts is power. Your motor, being 2k watts could probably be over volted to 52, 60 or maybe even 72 if you wanted crazy power but you'd risk blowing it. 48 is fine, you'll probably get 30-40km of distance with the 15ah pack and enough power.

I'm sorry but how the hell are you doing a battery review if you don't even know what a battery management system does I'm sorry I work on e-bikes I just can't stand to hear that

can you give me some money? lots of it? so you can say "4 stole my money and the 5th delivered". I can identify as "chinese and commy" if you like. I bought over a hundred panasonic 18650 cells from batteryhookup for about $30+20 shipping and I already have a great soldering iron and some kester solder and spent a few hours and made a bigger and better battery. Something I can trust. The cells came in 4s 1p modules with wires coming out, so all I had to do was to solder the wires together with some very thin pieces for protection
