🛑SARAH ! Please read this. I left you a lengthy message in the vlog you first mentioned your lips turn blue when you’re cold. I think it was the Kurt’s Transformation vlog) I went undiagnosed for many years and there is autoimmune disorder called Raynaud’s Syndrome. It’s when you get cold your hands, feet’s, nose , lips can turn blue or then even completely white because there is no blood circulating and they go numb. It’s basically a faulty thermostat of your body. When your body feels cold air your immune system goes into protection mode and reserves all your blood to your organs to keep them warm and cuts off the blood flow to the extremities. I don’t want to repeat everything I already said in my last comment incase maybe you did read it? But if you didn’t please go back and read it. This is an autoimmune issue and it will not show up in your normal blood labs. Has nothing to do with your blood or being deficient in anything. I had it as a child and my parents just thought it was because I was so thin & tall. It wasn’t finally diagnosed till I got lymphoma (cancer). Raynaud’s its self isn’t real serious to your health but a lot of patients that have Raynaud’s will later develop other autoimmune issues so it’s important to know if you have it. Please go see a rheumatologist. I really hope you see this if you didn’t see my last comment❤

I had low thyroid and used to get extremely cold like this, numb thumbs, etc. Gets worse in pregnancy for me

As a health practitioner, a first line of defense it would be great if you can get some TCM treatments based on your root cause. Many things can be fixed by traditional medicine (aka herbs/acupuncture/moxa etc) before it gets deeper into the body. Especially in pregnancy, acupuncture is generally a safe and very effective, minimal intervention treatment!

Ideally no screen time until the afternoon when I cook dinner. I notice that if they have it in the earlier parts of the day, their behaviours is much….harder to say it nicely hshs

It does seems like maybe Raynaud’s, which is annoying but not concerning long term. The way Raynaud’s affects me, cold makes my fingers and toes purple and hurt. I have heated gloves, but the best thing is slipping those chemical reaction hand warmers (Hot Hands in the US) inside of mittens. This may not be what you have. It’s worth asking a doctor just to satisfy curiosity!

Hi Sarah, I’m sure you’ve received plenty of comments on this in the past but I have a circulation condition called Reynaud’s syndrome and my symptoms are quite similar. Could be something to look into if you’re looking for answers. Hope this helps !

I have raynauds syndrome. Sounds weird but it's not dangerous, not for me anyway. Its just a thing where I lose my circulation very easily in my fingers and toes. When I was little my lips went blue from bathing in the ocean. And when I eat, I sometimes get cold and my fingernails go blue.

Raynauds can be both secondary or primary. Primary Raynauds is harmless and mostly uncomfortable. Secondary Raynauds is caused by another underlying, more sinister (often auto immune) disease. It's often the first sign of something untoward, especially if you are over 30(?), a woman, and experiencing Raynauds for the first time. I have secondary raynauds with a rare autoimmune disease called Systemic Sclerosis where the body attacks the heart, kidney and lung. Important to get an ANA blood test to dismiss anything going on in the body. Early diagnosis is key to preventing the progression of these diseases where there is often no cure. ❤❤

The reality of kids attitude with screen time in the morning is astounding! If I don't wait until after my oldest's nap, grumpiness is the theme of the day.

L-arginine, l-carnitine, l-citrulline, taurine are essential amino acids for circulation. You may already be aware, but thought I would mention in case you could try some amino acid therapy to support your circulation.. ❤

Hey sez maybe get tested for raynauds, my best friend has this and experiences absolutely every symptom you are describing when she's cold, the only other thing is that she experiences extreme pain in the fingertips when they go blue and are frozen. Obviously I'm not a doctor but it could be a good idea! :)
