In this painting I am doing a really fun textured piece of wall art! This is so easy, anyone can do this at home for their own piece of wall art! I used spackle and a texture tool to create various shapes across the stretched canvas, and then used acrylic paints in various shades of peach and pink to finish off this piece with some gorgeous color!
Spackle: amzn.to/37mK3AJ
Spatulas: amzn.to/37mTeRG and amzn.to/3xCyAaT

Did you water the paint down or just use straight acrylic paint? The way it comes out looks awesome!
@amandasstudio

I just use it straight from the tube!
Love this! Did you put a sealant on it once dry or just painted directly?
@amandasstudio

I did not seal it with anything, just painted it directly.

Does the spackle stay firm when dry? Or will it crack?
Amanda you let the entire thing dry before u start painting right? Also what are the substitutes for gold leaf that u use? Its gorgeous but I am afraid I won't find it around
@amandasstudio
Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes I let it all dry first. You could always just use gold paint.
Beautiful how long did you waited before you painted what kind of color did you used and the kind of canvas can you plz give a link I am a beginner and trying to learn

I wait a day for the paste to dry. I use acrylic paints and this is just a regular canvas that you can get at any craft store.
How thick the layer need to be in order to go over with the tools for arches. Thank you
@amandasstudio
Жыл бұрын
It doesn't need to be super thick, maybe 1/8th to 1/4 inch.
Is it the same thing as putty ? Wood filler? Asian here, I don’t know how to find spackle because of different terms in different languages. It’s so beautiful. I wanna create the same one.

It isn't the same as wood putty, this is what I am using: amzn.to/3S8IVDE

Yeah I’m in the Uk and it’s not called spackle
How much will be the price
Will it crack without sealant? and does this spackle shrink when it dries?
@amandasstudio
Жыл бұрын
Spackle did not shrink at all, I don't know if a sealant would affect whether or not it cracks; I think if the layer is just too thick it may crack either way.

Did this crack after drying? Or after a few months?
@amandasstudio
Жыл бұрын
I have not had issues with it cracking unless I make the layer really thick.
can we use water colour instead of acrylic ?
@amandasstudio

I don't know if watercolor would work as well but it is something that you could try!
Do you have to worry about the compound cracking?

I did not do anything to the canvas beforehand. I don't know if it will crack over time. So far mine are fine.
Can this canvas be rolled up and shipped ?
