A little video showing how I can coat my paint skins or prints without taping the edges 😜 skins and prints have quite the 90 degree angular edge on them once they’ve been cut. Resin really does not like to go over the edges unless there’s way too much resin building up and it “breaks the bank”
Here you see me drizzling the resin on and gently pushing it toward the sides, but not over the sides.. it stops right at the print edge. If you had a microscope you might see how it’s impossible for the resin to pass the border! Unless you pour so much on that it breaks the dome and flows over, creating an escape route for your much loved ( and expensive) resin 😫
A little bit of restraint and a steady hand means you CAN resin things without taping or pushing over the edge.
I used Art Resin brand for all of these! It’s nice and thick so it’s perfect for these doming projects!
