46115 'Scots Guardsman' Epic 3 Cylinder Slog Up Hemerdon Bank On The Royal Duchy 20/08/23

Sunday 20th August 2023 would see Carnforth based 46115 'Scots Guardsman' make her Devon and Cornwall debut on the Royal Duchy from Bristol to Par. We start with some glorious morning sun at Parson Street where we see her powering away from Bristol towards her first stop or Yatton. Next in less than ideal conditions a very drastic change from a few hours earlier we see her at speed snaking along the famous sea wall at Sprey Point near Teignmouth. For the return, we headed to the famous Hemerdon bank where we see the 3 cylinder Scot slog up the infamous 1 in 42 Hemerdon bank. With some black smoke and a lot of noise, she reached the top after a hard battle

Cracking video Tom , superb sounds on Hemerdon . Have to laugh at the guy with his tripod over the fence with his hood up to hide his face but then later on posts his video 😂

The cylinder cover of this machine is blowing out again, there is no proper performance, all respect to the locomotive crew!

Was,nt sliggish attal Excellent climb . 46100 had a diesel pushing you must know that .
