6:06 The books from the box were actually meant to be thrown in a portal. Basically, the Infinite Dimensions update added a feature where you could throw books into a nether portal, and the game would use some kind of system to make a special dimension which has generation that varies with whatever text is inside the book. So basically the Box of Infinite Books is meant to make unique dimensions.

Sounds a lot like mystcraft, if any of it is still kicking around online.

Special education blocks are available in Minecraft bedrock, no? There is a option called “Education edition” when creating a world. Also the nether portal block WAS NOT REMOVED. There is a special way you can get it by making a nether portal that turned on and off very quickly, then you could mine the portal and get a portal block. You can’t get it with commands. This exploit even works in PE edition.

Fun fact: the original stonecutter wasn't removed from bedrock. If you placed it in your bedrock edition world before it was removed, it was still in the game. It doesn't show in the creative menu and it isn't obtainable by commands.

It was its own block, separate from the new stonecutter. If placed before it was replaced with the new stonecutter, it would still be there with the original texture.

I wish Mojang didn't remove the idea of furniture. I really wanted it!

The ”zone” block seems to be a reference to the game franchise S.T.A.L.K.E.R and/or the book Roadside Picnic, as both of these have invisible anomalous and deadly pockets of air in which gravity works differently. The characters in both the games and the book get around these by tossing small pieces of metal scrap infront of them before they go forward, and seeing if they fall to the ground faster/slower than normal.

2:28 Heat Block wasnt removed, its still available on bedrock edition. When you turn on the education edition, you can get access to exclusive blocks like sparklers, hardened glass, glow sticks and heat block. The block cant be get from your inventroy, tho, you need to craft it.

Turns out the calibrated skulk sensor wasn't removed, it just took a while to be implemented. It's coming in 1.20!

9:10 Correction: the spawners do work, they just need grass blocks around them to actually spawn pigs, because thats actually how passive mobs (like sheep, cows, and of course, the pig) spawn in minecraft.

They removed it because of the cliffs not generating properly because of it, but it could be fixed, and it would be easy compared to what is being added now. A simple line of code telling the game to only add them if the height changes by exactly 1 block.

A lot of education edition blocks are kind of gimmicky but the strengthened glass would actually fit in the base game

I agree! I've played a number of different mods and modpacks that had it for various reasons, and I love it. So useful!

8:03 I believe that debug2's texture is meant for testing if rendering is working properly. The symbols look like rotated cardinal directions (north East south west). Each letter is probably right way up when looking in the corresponding direction and at the top of the block.

As a pocket edition player I can confirm that they didn’t remove the update blocks, instead they just show up less

Actually... Border blocks have their full functionality in bedrock! You can only place them with /setblock though

Some of the items in this list were never removed just in other games (some were even not made by them)

There was one world of mine where I had a machine that relied on pistons, but at some point one of the pistons stopped working, so I replaced it, but it still didnt do anything. There was this empty block in front of the piston that just could not be altered, for months. An update came around, and in place of that untouchable block void, there was a dirt block with update scribbled on it.

That’s the update block, a block THST appears in bedrock and pocket when you place a block but an update remove that bock

So much nostalgia in this video. I’ve been playing Minecraft since it first released and I remember almost all of these! Good times those were, good times.

The update blocks on my pocket edition world would duplicate blocks when clicked on. But you would right click then break it and it would give you multiple more diamonds or whatever block you clicked. It was crazy at the time and I didn’t know what it was.

Fun fact, etho slab is a play on words on the longest running let’s play ethos lab

Border fences are available by using commands in Bedrock Edition.

I remember the extra grow stage of wheat on Xbox but it didn’t look like that. Bottomless hoppers used to be stable in 1.7 I forgot about so many of these :( they were so fun

I will say this, i have no idea what happened with this game and its evolution. When i started playing in 2014, the PC (java) edition and pocket edition were centuries apart from each other in features... Now they're borderline the same..

10:52 I know what the block did. The block used to locate the nearest wardens in a 32 block radius. When placed under a note block, it made the sound of every sound in minecraft, which was gamebreaking. The block used to be crafted with a sensor, an amethyst, and a barrier block. It had a light level of 0.4873733333 which was the smallest light level. You’re welcome everyone.

It’s funny when minecraft goes like “Because we have this feature in another game, we dont need that other feature in another game.”

for a list of removed blocks, a lot of these are either things that were never actually implemented or were developed for and still exist in other versions of the game

The teleport block sounds like such a good concept and be interesting to use in builds.

10:04 This is misinformation. The blocks didn't get "cancelled", they're still coming to the game, just at an unspecified future time. Swamps are being upated next year, followed by Savannahs, Deserts, and Badlands, all with the features promised. They're even all still "announced" on the Feedback website.

Honestly, 50 Removed Blocks are the most ones to find in any version like what? So many dimensions removed and removed biomes even removed structures but this, they might be back today

Fun fact: 0:34 this was a bug that went farther than wheat looking weird. This was a bug that allowed you to grow furnaces from pumpkins and crafting tables from other plants. This is best explained by antvenom

Speaking of the purple and black cubes, when I made a world at my cousin’s house, the entire world were those blocks, grass was green and black, and everything was black and purple. I didn’t spawn any entities, and when I loaded it back it was normal

The calibrated skulk sensor was re-added in minecraft 1.20 and was a skulk sensor with some parts being covered in amethyst

7:23 the underwater torches can be made in bedrock by going into the world settings and turning on "education edition". Once that's happened, you can then craft the underwater torches, in the main game. But only in bedrock.

Fun fact: in the old worlds the "invisible bedrock" actually wasn't infinite, after you flew high enough it wouldn't be there, if you went past this and stopped flying it act as a floor at the same level as it stopped generating.

I love how you included, two of my favourite blocks, the nether reactor, and the gear. I miss them, they would've been a great addition to the games lore and gameplay.
