Life in the big city
Didn't think it was possible but now I like Tim Dillon even more.
Tim Dillon is an American hero
53:43 "our creative energy is the purest and most volatile energy that we have, which is why it can get directed to all these very bad places, but when we direct it to the right place I think it really animates us in a way that nothing else does." damn. one of my favorite sentences ever said on a podcast
This may be Tim’s greatest guest appearance on a podcast. Every Tim fan needs to listen. Also I listened to the album after this and it’s so good
RIP John Prine
Hey man don't know you & vice-versa but you hit the nail on the head with American treasure RIP John Prine!!! new old guy fan er maybe ...cheers!!~??
On 'Hello In There' Prine sums up war in the one line " we lost Davey in the Korean war, and I still don't know what for, don't matter any more...'
This is a great concept for a podcast
Love John Prine and Tim Dillon. Coincidence is crazy.
I first heard Sam Stone because of Tim on his podcast with Ari months ago. Amazing rabbit hole to go down!

*Doja Cat - respect the artist
Prine is a favorite but I’m Surprised Tim didn’t bring up Townes Van Zandt or blaze Foley in the mix of that brand

Waiting Around to Die is one of the best songs ever.
Tim is the funniest dude alive
Kris didn't discover John Prine that way. If you watch the doc on KZread Kris explains that John's good friend and musician Steve Goodman took Kris over to where John had finished playing and Kris asked him to go back up and play his songs for them. After hearing his set, Kris asked John to play all of them again, and anything else he had.
I kind of wish Tim was doing this show now.
7:22 for timmy
Tim Dillon is God
Oy vey this Josh fella is a real bummer as a music podcast host
