450+Hp Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 Turbo || ONBOARD Time Attack FWD Monster

This is the spectacular Peugeot 205 GTi 1.6 Turbo tuned by Spoox for Time Attack Racing and driven by Team owner Darren Spooner. Taken from its natural habitat (circuits) into Hillclimb Racing for the Quick 60 ShootOut event we organized alongside Retro Rides Gathering at Shelsley Walsh, it certainly had to endure through difficult conditions for a high powered FWD Monster like Wet weather and Standing Starts, but ended posting a great result placing 2nd on its Class and being among the 10 Fastest Cars of the day.
Powered by a highly tuned and now Turbocharged 1.6L TU5J4 engine from a 106 GTi capable of over 500Hp in its highest boosting settings, of course here it had to use far less, only going close to the 400Hp mark on the last and drier runs of the day. Even then, a totoal weight of 845Kg and a proper Aerodynamic package go a long way and all can see how it still brough very respectable pace. Now let´s just wait for full dry weather for its next Hillclimb experiment...

The lack of traction makes the car even more fun, gives it character. It's a feature and not a fault or hindrance. Absolute beast!

No it makes it slow, the huge rear wing is the issue here. Positive airflow over the wing= imbalance in the car causing the front wheels to lift. Also the negative airflow behind the car will cause drag. Take that wing off and it’ll be at least 3 seconds faster. Easily

For fuel, probably becaouse of weight balance to be on center of the car... 205s are in stock for tail happy, it oversteers like rwd 😁

Damp track-Is this same, or similar 205 that used to be campaigned back in the day?Was a very heavily modified car with traction control sequential box-very trick in "92/"93.driven and built by an f1 mechanic-Need to dig out some old Sony Handicam videos of it.

There is one that is K20 powered yes, but it looks a bit different. That one runs time attack in the UK
450 hp seulement sur le train avant impossible de passé toutes la puissance sur un 400 m avec des pneus drag surement mais pas ce genre de route en plus humide a certain endroit dommage le potentiel est la avec une transmission integral ce serais autre choses mais super caisse quand meme a voir sur circuit sec elle doit etre plus éfficace👍👍👍👍
The tune for me, it has too much juice for it's weight sound like the boost just hits it's not really linear
