The Mario balloon reminds me of a time when my mom gave me a mylar Garfield balloon for my birthday. I was in college and had left the balloon at home by mistake (I had come home for my birthday) so it was slowly deflating as it rode the air currents around the house. She said it gave her quite a scare one night when she was walking down the hall toward the bedrooms and this thing floated up to her about eye level in the dark. After that, she popped the balloon and that was that. It made for a funny story at the time.

Glad in-store cameras hadn't been invented in the 1980s,.....I was in a stereo showroom and all the room dividers were clear glass panels. Nothing on them to make them more visible, and I did a face plant into one. And it threw me to the floor. It made a loud clunk sound as I fell backwards. The glass wall was fine,.....& me too,...except the store owner thought I was drunk.
