The pairing of Chelly and Luds was perfect. Chelly won his 1st Norris thanks to him. Bought ME a beer because I knew who he was here in Michigan haha

Being a Habs fan for over 35 years now, Mr. Nilan you have always been one of my favorites. I have a lot of respect for Craig Ludwig and will always remember that one time that he held-up two guys (one in each hand) against the board during a brawl and it still impress me to this day. Thanks to both of you for being a part of my favorite team.

Ludwig was a beauty hockey player .. solid dMan.. quiet leader .. mean elbows! :)

Loved Ludwig!!! I had read about him that he had played both Hockey and was a middle Linebacker in Football. The first time I saw him was at the Pionnier bar in Pointe- Claire village. I has just 17 at the time ( underage) and Ludwig had just arrived and still had a football player build. He was huge, massive legs standing there wirh his arms crossed starring down the place. We're like holy shit, who is that? This guy is going kick the crap out of everybody! I ended up speaking to him and he told me who he was. Years later, I would see him all the time at Cheers and buy him shots. Great guy!

I never met Craig, yet. But, one of my best friends knows him. I live 30 minutes from there. I love busting musky on the fly there. Pretty cool having a northern Wisco guy on! I saw his kid play at NMU his entire career. Great interview. You're a natural, Knuckles!

First time I saw Ludwig was with James Patrick, Dave Tippett, Phil Sykes, and Troy Murray at North Dakota on ESPN. I'm a Rangers fan since 1969/70 and was very interested to watch Patrick the Rangers number 1 pick in 1981.

Legend has it Craig was the Pantera connection with the Stars & was buddies with Vinnie Paul & Darryl Abbott. 🎸 🥁

I always respected Craig, but today I learned so much about leadership. What a class act.

Ludwig was such a rock on defense. I was so disappointed when they traded him.

Ludwig had the greasiest shin pads in the history of hockey.

Outstanding interview, Ludwig underrated player. Great stuff! Poor Jean Perron, he really wasn’t liked by the players in Montreal.

I enjoyed Craig Ludwig while playing in Montreal a solid modest type of guy. Made the Habs that much better when he was on the ice, like with Lafleur,Ronison Lapointe Nilan

I grew up a Habs fan . After my Family moved from Montreal to Vancouver in 68 . Later the Canucks arrived . I route for Both now . Just look at the Canucks 23/24 roster . How many will be playing for USA next World Cup or Olympics ?

Ludwig was a pretty rough customer himself from what I recall fro my beloved habe of the 70s and early 80s

Mr. Nilan...I've tried other hockey podcasts like Spittin, Cam and Stricks and other but luckily found yours and I love it. I recently subscribed and listen to one of your shows every day during my morning walks. You're one of the few interviewers who actually let the guests speak uninterrupted. Love you and your style of play when you were in the NHL.....but I've been an Isles fan for over 40 years....sorry. Keep up the great work and the awesome guests and interviews.
