Nice 4430. We had a power shift 4430 but lost that and the hay baler and the entire field in a hay fire. But we ended up getting another 4430 a couple years ago. I love running them. They are damn good tractors

i like the 4630 2wd with the 4 post canopy plain n simple

It's turbocharged right? Those diesel engines were very tough. I know they are hard to cold start though.

4430johnydeere sure it does. I did it all the time on a 4840, 4850, 4755, and a 4960. just use you foot to lift up on the switch. simple as that

Because in 1973 it was pretty rare and expensive for a tractor to have Front Wheel Assist. Not "AWD". These old John Deere tractors are excellent machines, especially the 4430 and 4440, they do not need FWA for the most part. And the 4430 is not that big of a tractor.
