Great to watch. Inspired me to tackle my old road bike
Top work. Tip that works for me, when cutting a cable housing do it with an old cable in. Then you get a nice clean cut without the need to use the pointy thing to open the cut end

Genius. I will definitely be doing that in the future. Thanks Martin.
Earned yourself a follow for that hell of a project
You did an excellent job Monty. Initially I thought you were getting in over your head, but you took your time & did your homework to get it all back together. For first-timers seeing someone else do the job makes it easier for them when they decide to tackle it. The few mistakes that were made also shows people what to be mindful of.
Great video Monty; job well done. I feel your pain with the quick links... however, I have gone one better re losing them! I can't stop throwing them away with chain degreaser 😂. Looking forward to next video. Cheers, Shaun
Hi Monty > just came by for the Marching Band, but the bike service was a nice touch. (Haha) Happy riding.

Thank you!
The spacer for 10 speed to 11 speed I too just learnt quite recently (from fitting my bike to a trainer) been riding the cassette without the spacer for a few weekend rides and was wondering why there is a knocking sound back there lol

Another title could be: how to put grease everywhere on a bike😂

If in doubt, lube it up. As my vicar says.
Great video, really enjoyed it. Thank you.
Well done. I really enjoyed the video. I hope everything worked ok. Looking forward to hearing.
Strangely gratifying video. Well done as usual. I didn't think I'd last through the whole thing, but you held me. A word of caution though at 43:55: if it didn't matter, it wouldn't be there. Carry on.
I'm assuming you serviced the stiff pedal? I don't think you showed it on video. Very useful video. Probably only a few areas I've yet to have experience working on which is headset, and hubs.
good vid mate
I enjoyed the process!

I’m impressed you got the front derailleur dialed in no problem, it took me 6 attempts 😬
Great job on the major surgery . I have the same bike . The good thing is that the cables are on the outside which helps . I have to wonder about the bottom bracket the bb90 . You have these 2 bearings that are pressfit inside the cups which is basically the frame . Then this bar slides thru from your cranks . You know there is some crazy torque happening as you are putting pressure as you pedal . The tolerances have to be exact . That is the issue with these as you replace the bearings it comes out of tolerance slowly but surely . It’s not a great design .

Not sure what i produce is anywhere near crazy torque, but you are right. I've since switched to a Token Ninja BB alternative to the BB90 which seems better but does still produce the odd creak.
Great video so far. But can you please invest in a chair? It just looks very uncomfortable.

ok. I have been looking at a workshop stool if that's what you mean.
What happened to the Token Ninja you installed a few years ago?

Hello. This video series pre-dated that change to the Token BB.
Impressive learning by doing! I dare you to service/replace your wheel hub bearings! “Free to cycle” KZread channel is great for Campag hub how to….
