i still love it, its perfect for agro play ,,ram n shoot" especially against lonely tanks can win most 1vs1, sidescraping or facehugging works well most of time, and on short distance the derpy gun dont bother much, only gotta stay away from like stb1 type of tanks. One of few tanks in which u can still feel that u got armor.

honestly I still like this tank. great armor, great camo, 340 heat, decent mobility, tiny flat silhouette... only real problems are bad gun depression and derpy gun handling, but I don't think it's even that bad, it's comparable to 277 and IS-7

its literally a better 277 and people try and say 140 is alot better but the 430u has 3300 dpm too with more alpha and better armor and same speed so its not really any better

Not quite. 277 is better since it is faster so it can take better positions, have a more punchy gun to brawl with and the main reason other than the speed is the turret. 430u's cupolas and top of the turret can be penned without gold, on the other hand even gold ammo struggles against a hulldown 277. Plus russian meds love to burn frontaly so one mistake is enough. On the 140's note, it literally have better dpm and way more tamed gun, with a touch better gundep (which can make your armor quite nice tho) but its not really a frontline brawler like the 430u and the 277 so in that case its more of a playstyle and experience issue. Still out the 3 of these I would recommend the 430u for beginners since if people wont shoot gold it can be forgiving time to time and big alpha+bit less dpm can be a good start for people. 140 and 277 requires a bit more gamesense imo. But all in all as I said, preferences are different so have fun with it

Still better brawling potential without a hulldown. Better trades overall and as I've said, it wont burn out after one shot and it can actually facehug, unlike the the 430u with his weak hull around the turret where people can shoot down since its smaller than most of the tanks it could brawl against.

It hasn't fallen. Maybe in Skills mind, but its still one of the best T10 medium in the game, and the best medium in some situations. Gun handling is great, only downsize is shell velocity, but you can't have them all...

Gun handling is definitely not great, and since it had the armour nerf a few years back it’s nothing compared to where it used to be, especially now in faster games T10 games used to be filled with 430U’s, now you hardly see it, and I’m sure the reason for that isn’t because it’s one of the best mediums in the game…

@@Fizzoid I won't say anything about the snapshots, wich is like 1/3 is penetrating the targets in 430U, even without gold, and thats insane, but in close combat this gun is really good. Maybe people wanted to be too agressive in 430U acting like a Maus, but still. As skill always say, combination of the things in this tank, for me, its insanse. And I would still count this tank as an epic.

And, just to make all things clear from my perspective, I think that 121B is the best medium in tier 10.

I think the 430u is slept on cause of what it used to be but dont get it wrong this tank is literally a HT and a great med, has one of the better 122 mm's its a russian gun so a bit derpy but 3300 dpm and with turbo it rips and it really dont need it unless you want a fast med of course the 430u isnt about its speed

It's the Kelevra 3d style that was available from x mas lootboxes few years ago. Kelevra is Hebrew for 'bad dog' apparently and I guess that's why the marks are different as well.

@@aristaeus2514 ya, I've seen a few of those skins on various Russian mediums. They look like the Tiran series of tanks the Israelis made out of captured t 55s and t 62s, after the Yom Kippur war.

The games maps make it a hard game to play because they curate a certain type of play style and if you don't play that way you loose. I think the bushes trees and some cover needs to be rng spawned on the maps so the play can be mixed up and the maps won't get boring or so much hate

this was my first tier 10, i tried hard to make it work, but it just not my style, too slow, -5 gun dp is too painful & the gun itself acts on it's own, if it feels like missing shots from 10 meters away then you can't do anything.. changed up to 140 & never looked back at this thing 🤷

Gun handling is what really kills this tank in my opinion and one really important thing i learned while playing mine, never ever peak an E4, even when above him in a hull down position it just shoots through your turret with premium like everywhere

well 430 u is brawler in nature and gun handling is made mean to handle these stuations. it's dpm and gun handling is more than enough in close quarters.

To date, Skillman, the venerable Obj. 430U has been a good tank and now it just doesn't do well in the current meta. I hate what WG has done to a beautiful medium like this - sometimes WG really pisses me off.

I feel like 0.35 accuracy is the threshold, sometimes you hit sometimes you don't, if it drops to 0.33 you are perfect if it climbs to 0.37 you are missing your shots

Took a much needed break from wot for a year and a half and am now getting back into it and everything that was meta is now average due to powercreep. WG really needs to polish and rebalance alot of tanks that needed some tlc.

when i got 430 tier X, it had very high dpm and derpy gun, t62a had god-like turret and 140 had a little of both. Then WG made 430 U and buffed/nerfed/buffed nerfed and gave 140 more depression, and all 3 tanks more like each other, so all their identity went out the window, for a long period 430 u was ridiculously OP and t62 useless in comparism. I liked them better with the old setup. T-62a was incredible hull down, 430 was fun city brawler and 140 multi tool. Everything FUN, they touch it and it becomes unusable, like nerf of su-85B and FV304 and lets not forget the birth and demise of the HE Type 4 and 5. You might as well set the SU-85B on fire, hang the crews, and remove both it and FV304 from game.

Object 430 & Obj. 430U were under the nerf hammer, but WoT didn't bother with the big public hanging. They got a small one, & who knows what behind the scenes.

Interesting that you say that this has better gun than 121, I think 121 is way better considering the gun, but this has better armor in my opinion.

121 has a better gun than 430U in every way: better reload, better accuracy, better bloom, better AP penetration, faster shells, same gun depression.

Grinding the tier 9 at the moment. It's a good tank when I'm not on fire

Tier 10 is much better imo. Gun handling is just as derpy but your armor works much better and you have autowin gold rounds.

This tank was my second tier 10. Complete waste of credits. It’s sad because I actually really like the tank. It’s a pocket heavy that actually has a good gun. The one single thing that ruins this tank entirely is the fire chance. Took one to the lower plate? Fire. Light tank grabs a cheeky shot in a drive by? Fire. A strong wind picks up? Fire. It’s really shitty to be sidescraping perfectly only to take a stray shot and burst into flames. Other than that I love this tank. I’m thinking it’s time to start working on the e50m though because I just can’t stand driving a bonfire barrel around with a cannon duct taped to it.

well, it is more and more less to face 430U in randoms and that will give you an advantage because they already forget how good is all around armor of 430u. my another comment is to Skill, we met in randoms several weeks ago and match was neck to neck so i raised pp instead of shot but skill shot and cripples me anyway :)

Yeah, in close range 1v1 this tank is lethal in random battles, just sidescrape (properly) and farm everyone

Tbf., Obj. 277 is just a better 430U. Same/even a bit better mobility, better Gun and better Armor. And when grinding 277, you can also go for IS-7 Afterwards. So not really worth grinding 430U anymore really. (IMO)

430U in battlepass or not.. Obj.140 will be my first tier X tank and i think it's quite better than the 430U

One of the best T10 mediums, solid medium tank that can do anything on the field and has a better fear factor than any other medium. Will come out of most situations while other mediums would just die. It can do anything that the 140 does but the 140 could not do what the 430U does, the 140 can´t even do half of what this tank can do on a field, like 5000 blocked damage, facing 3 to 4 heavies in a corner and bouncing like crazy....there is no point to compare, this shit here could even brawl with a Chieftain and come out victorious.
