410ci EFI Stack Injected Stroker LS - Engine Power S10, E13-14

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

New 2023 Episode! Pat and Frankie put together a highly polished/high-performance pump gas stroker street rod engine that has both the show AND go!
Engine Power embarks on the Pro LS Bottom End Build project. What started as an iron LS block from a salvage yard transforms into a power-packed 410 cubic inches beauty, filled with fury. We selected an LQ-9 short block to accommodate the big bore that we needed for this project, along with a line of parts specifically created for the LS platform.‪@PowerNationTV‬

The ITB setup is designed for high RPM, I think a few degrees back on cam timing, you'd pull 600+hp over 7k. The ITBs and bling make me think of a very racy, high revving type engine. Still an awesome build tho!!!

Nothing. These bling builds are SEMA builds. No need to be concerned about anything else. Intake runners are usually sized for the operating range of the engine, short runners are usually used for high revving (7k+ rpm) engines. If power curve was the intention, this would have been better off with a Fast intake.

It also had a bunch more compression, like more then a point of compression more, I think it was a 12.8:1 ratio. The camshaft was not installed this much advanced and it had more lift and duration. It also didn't have any accessories on the front of it. It only had a water pump and it was electric so no parasitic loss.

Throw some timing into it like 32 to34° then it will be in the mid 600 range.seems that all of ls builds end at 28°.I've built a 417 that made over 700 on pump gas

Stroker engines are more concerned with bottom end torque. That was always my impression.

Should grab a Sprint car motor and toss the intake system onto it and see what happens.

I don't get it. You advanced the camshaft to lower the power band yet installed a short runner ITB intake, which enhances high RPM performance? Please explain.

That will put it to the ground nicely. My ls2 403 stroker with a ysi head laid down over 500 ft lbs of torque at 2600... Absolutely zero traction. Hated it because it ruined the average light to light and made my car a 70 roll only. My mistake

Hold on, they wedged a screwdriver against the crank, forcing the crank towards the passenger side of the block. that is going to throw off the bearing crush when they torqued down the mains right after.... i don't know about that idea....

Where do people purchase various ci short blocks built to these types of trustworthy ridged specs, for those that don't want to start from scratch with a build? Many can build, but few build beyond spec.

Great st engine, doesnt need 7000rppm or boost. This would be hard to hook on the st as is anything more is a waste Would have liked to see longer runners for this stroker. Pat are there whipple blowers for a Gen 1 sbc?
