The professor started to suffer after demise of his mother. Then he started a thesis on his fear was real or not. First he experienced on Gourav. He died. Gourav chased Abhimanyu to know the truth. Professor also chosed Abhimanyu to complete his thesis as he did with Gourav. As Gourav is always with Abhimanyu, at the hall they both knew professor played with them. At last Abhimanyu too couldn't survive. Last scene is a holy spirit took Abhimanyu's look to punish Professor.

My take on this movie. The professor already had bipolar disorder in dormant state . The triggering point of professor’s disorder was the death of his mother He started hallucinating and started to see his dead mother but refuses to accept that he is hallucinating(like Abhimanyu’s case)) But then he finally accepted his mother’s death and his disease(bipolar)..but still he sees hallucinations These hallucinations seems very real to professor and he thinks the mother he is hallucinating is her soul or spirits This affected his mental health and he decided to perform illegal experiment on Abhimanyu(ragging with help from Chris) to prove that these hallucination are just from his disease and not ghosts or souls. His experiment goes very smooth with inflicting ideas of Gaurav and his story on Abhimanyu’s mind . (Due to Raggingfrom seniors) Soon Abhimanyu also started seeing hallucinations of Gaurav ..despite being doubtful at first he also soon thinks that the images of Gaurav that he sees are real and not just mere hallucinations . So the professor finally takes Abhimanyu to the dark room and debates with Abhimanyu that these were just hallucinations (also how’s Abhimanyu his medical report of bipolar)and when Abhimanyu finally agrees to professors he shows the audience (his imaginary audience) that his experiment was a success and there are no such thing as ghosts or souls . But seeing professor celebrating and dictating to no one in the hall.. Abhimanyu realises that the professor is also suffering from the same conditions as his and have been experimenting on him(Abhimanyu) to eradicate his fear ..Abhimanyu starts to realise all of these hallucinations was because of professors doing. He now also knows that the professor also experimented on Gaurav. So he finally suicides while the professor is busy shaking hands and celebrating with his audience ( which are imaginary or hallucination) Then the professor talks with Abhimanyu (in his imagination)and follows him in his room . He sees his dead body while he was still talking with Abhimanyu THERE HE REALISES THAT ABHIMANYU IS ACTUALLY ALREADY DEAD AND THE PERSON HE WAS TALKING TO WAS HIS IMAGINATION. HIS FEAR OF SPIRITS HITS BACK. Note -I think the author wants us viewers to understand the effects of mental disorders on the people.

They didn’t explain bipolar disorder clearly. Also not a single scene gives justice to Psychological disorder. It has shown Psychotic disorder only, because in Bipolar patient face atleast one episode of severe depression and one episode of acute mania.

Nahi. Professor tab tak hallucinate nahi karte Abhimanyu ki death ke baare mein jab tak use already uski death ke bare mein na pata ho. "I can still prove you wrong". Dusra hissa contradict krta tha k ye srf weham hai jo wo imagine krta hai uska dimagh wohi vision bna k dikhata hai usse. Wo b yehi khud ko accept krwana cahta tha k ye srf imagination hai. He got idea jb usne abhi ko gaurav ka room k lye insist krte suna. Presentation wale time wo bht khush hua bcz usko lga k ye imagination wala hissa sai prove hogya but at the end spirit wali soch poore dimagh pe hawi hogyi aur ab yeh change ni honi.

In the last scene, it was Chris talking to the professor. But the professor was at the worst of his disease, so he started seeing Abhimanyu in him. *Watch the last scene again and see Abhimanyu's body language and acting* Basic concept in this movie is that Psychological disorders can really affect anyone irrespective of his education or achievements. Illusions and hallucinations are different but both can cause lots of harm to one's physical self. Psychological trauma led to Gaurav's and Abhimanyu's suicide. Abhimanyu had an additional concept of betrayal as well. And professor's condition has worsened and it will ultimately lead him towards total isolation and any such person might kill himself or others some day.

Movie ke according professor galat tha kyunki he was shocked in the end, lekin shocked kyun jab voh jaan chuka ki uske bipolar ki vajah se voh hallucinate kar raha tha end mein? Basically what the movie tried to show is science does not believe in spirits but that does not mean they do not exist. Both the theories and beliefs are right in their own places. If someone commits suicide or dies of a tragic accident their spirit stays back. This has been nicely proven in the end.

As a medical student myself I think this movie was more about psychosis rather than bipolar because here the only symptom is hallucinations nothing else In bipolar there is a period of depression followed by mania which is not seen here!

No…Abhimanyu killed himself…professor later came to his room and saw him standing outside thinking it’s Abhimanyu but in fact Abhimanyu was already dead inside the room and his spirit was standing in the corridor. And since professor saw the spirit therefore ultimately he was proven wrong and that’s why he was shocked and going crazy in the end!

Nhi. At last, the professor was proven wrong. If it was hallucination, he wouldn't have seen the soul of Abhi befire he even knew that he has already died. The movie sought to prove that soul and spirits do exist in the form of energy. Professor saw Abhi at last and considered it the reality just the same way Abhi did with Gaurav. But since other humans are not experiencing something, they do not believe in it! So actually, what you can't see isn't necessarily non existing. May be yiu need to change your perspective.

​@@danteraj4613 what if professor was also hallucinating? In actually reality soul doesn't exist ....there is only body and consciousness made up of energy after we die we don't feel anything .... energy goes into the atmosphere and can't be seen by any humans ....just like we can't see uv rays

In the end Abhimanyu did suicide to prove Professor wrong nice story on Negative and Positive energy....!

In my opinion the last scene depicted the guilt and defeat of professor. In his subconscious mind the professor knew that what he was doing to abhimanyu is wrong so I think his guilt and neglect ness drive him to insanity and on top of it he was adamant about proving his point and proving that he can be cured and be normal.

What i think is this movie is all about psychology only no spirit because at the end i don't think rhat professor saw abhimanyu his body language was like chris.just my opinion who else thinks same.

Mania + dipression=bipolar.hota hai......... happiness+sadness=bipolar ❤

The essense of such movies remains in them beinh raw. First of all no popular director would take such project coz unlike West, Indians do not like such movies. Secondly, even if some good director takes it, he/she would add unncessary romance and action and eventually the storyline would get cluttered.

The fact that you watch this movie right now is a Hallucination. Wake up

Aaare but if he had already committed suicide and thats just his spirit than how could professor tap his shoulder without it passing through him and when prof was trying to prove his thesis how could everyone else were able to see and hear Abhimanyu?! And why did Abhi denied that gaurav was just an illusion when he himself sat there as a spirit he could've exposed it to everyone naa ki I'm not real yet you can hear and see me!!
