What stops driver welding in extra reinforcements under the floors. I can image theres plenty of scope, especially on an old American tank to make it indestructible

Good scrutineers.Ive seen welds being cut through with a petrol cutter,because it made that area too strong.Impierals were banned in the UK,as they were far to strong a car,and someone was going to get hurt.Watch imperials path of destruction on YT.One car lasted 3 drivers and 9 meetings.I was lucky enough to see one at Ipswich World final.Thats also on YT.People been welding bits in for years.But scrutineers soon get you to cut it out.Well spedeworth do.

Why smash up classic cars? Small minds
Why don't these drivers use their indicators? There would be no crashes and no unnecessary explanations regarding car scratches when they get home to mum and dad. They ignore lane discipline and no courtesy whatsoever is extended to the other drivers. I assume they have not taken a driving test which, driving like this, they would never pass anyway. I also noticed that they never bothered to exchange insurance details, so I am contacting the local police who, I assume, will take the appropriate action. Learner drivers watching this might be persuaded to emulate this standard of driving, so I strongly recommend thia video be deleted immediately. Misery Guts, England, March, 2024.

You buy them all if you want to save them. Nearly all are to far gone to save for the road. And just made pretty . Welded in floors and running transit axles and Ford v6 engines... every thing worth saving is sold on.

@NJPurling I know they are rottern. They are made to look shiney and made safe enough to race. That is the main part of the sport . To find the rare stuff and make it look the tits.
