I have not been to Mexico in 56 years so it is nice to see what things are like. I also retired early at age 39 and headed to Asia and pretty much never left. Lots of scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking and inflatable kayaking rivers has kept me pretty busy. Where ever you go be happy! Life is what you make of it.

Great interview, Bobby! You love to scuba, you have a GoPro, you have a new light for your GoPro....so I was hoping to find some underwater videos when I clicked on your name. Maybe a good project for when you get to Bali? (BTW, that's my favorite place in Asia - $12/night for a perfectly reasonable hotel room in Ubud, including breakfast is hard to beat! But probably going to end up in Canggu next time, so I can be closer to the beach.)

This dude is living my dream. I would LOVE to move down there for a year or so, live in an apartment just like this and get my scuba certification

Mike, actually I will be diving and I am a qualified dive guide now however because they are so crushed with no business from covud travel restrictions there is ni need for people like me as far as dive jobs go at the moment. They need money and work

Wow Bobby is a great guy and his apartment is beautiful. I love that it is all inclusive with air conditioning and a rooftop pool. That little place is all me and my wife need and we love to walk everywhere. The beach is close and the shopping even closer. It also sounded like there are bars for the nightlife within walking distance. You have been saying it in your videos and here is the proof, what more can you ask for? ❤️🇨🇦❤️ Cheers!!!

If I run out of money go back to the states. You'll never find a place for $400 that includes utilities in a beach town with a pool and roof top party area. Have a good time in Bali. My friend is from there and talks about Indonesia all the time.

Greg from Canada here. Great video but folks really need to read your linked to comments to understand the context of how Bobbie was able to get his apartment so cheap. In normal times, this wouldn't be possible unless, as you point out, one arrives in the off season and negotiates a long term stay. Once Covid is over, who knows if even that will be possible at such low rates, (regardless of month of arrival) and one has to think the price will be higher. Good for Bobbie, though! Interesting guy. Thx once again!

You're right and it is high season at the moment. That said there are deals to be found. Like Dan does and I did, it is often better to arrive first for a 3-7 day stay and then look around for location and price before going long term.

That’s a great price for such a nice place. I pay only about $100 a month less after everything included in Cozumel but My place is not as nice as his. I don’t have a pool either. Lodging is usually more expensive in Cozumel.

Listen to the video to understand how Robert got this deal. And use the method to find another. It is the method we are teaching here. Can you recommend a good safe place to rent either an ARBNB or an apartment whichever is best in PVR, that is walkable to like groceries, testaurants, the Malecon and beaches just to name a few. was worth asking about not too often that we are going to near the same spot. I have no idea where I’m going after my three months in Puerto Morelos, but will let you know where I end up just in case we end up being in the “same neighborhood “ so to speak. Stay safe you two !!

Yes. But the media needs to sell shampoo and other products. If it bleeds it leads. Go see for yourself. We love Mexico.

The Cartels leave tourists alone for the most part.

I would be so stoked to score on that apartment! I liked the Philippines better, but he's a hop, skip away from the states? I would stay in that apartment and fly to the San Francisco Bay area once or twice a month, and be totally happy!

COVID hasn't slowed tourism in this area. Since Mexico is the only place open it still has a large tourism industry. The new rule requiring a PCR test to re-enter the USA may have an affect. We will know in a few weeks.

Bobby, do you keep this Apartment as a base of operations or do you just move from country to country for months at a time? My wife is Vietnamese and after 32 years she retired and I am about to retire as well, we are both 56 and love to travel, so hope to be living somewhere warm for months at a time. Your Bahasa sounds pretty good. Saya berbicara sedikit bahasa indonesia Saya belajar bahasa Indonesia saya selama di Angkatan Darat.
