I still remember my first financial advice from my dad. I was about 8 or 9, he gave me Kenner Star Wars action figures for Christmas. He told me back in the late 1970s that if I left them unopened, they'd be worth a lot of money in the future. I was a kid, I wanted to play with the toys.

the fact ur dad knew to even think about that back then is absolutely mind boggling - he was certainly wise like Yoda had foreseen ; )

@@TheFroneyZone By that time, he had seen toys of his youth were going for some good money at antique stores so he knew how popular Star Wars was and knew if left mint on card, it would've been worth some money. Also comic books and baseball cards were already worth more money at the time, so he saw that the figures were in that same collectible area.

I grew up in the 80s. Even as a kid, I knew a lot of my toys would be worth money some day. That still didn’t prevent me and my best friend from destroying almost all of our toys as we grew up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Man.. the memories that this brought back, of me being 7 years old and my Grandmother buying me 9 of the 12 (Jawa and Tuskan Raider weren't sent to the store in that batch) and dumped them out of her shopping bag in front of me. For a kid in Small Town Alberta who was the only kid on the block, it was epic. Thank's for this Junkman!

No exactly how you feel. I lived in a very small town and my parents might go to the city once a month if lucky. It didn't happen often but when it did it was like Christmas. I always did chores and saved my money to buy them. I also had a great mom that would always pick me up more. What a great memory. Thanks for sharing and taking me back.

Yep, there were a lot of figures and playsets that just never got shipped to our tiny northern Ontario town, so every March Break we’d spend a few days at my aunts place in Toronto, and she’d take my sister and I to Toys R Us in Etobicoke(which was the only one around back then), and it was like Star Wars heaven! Good memories!
Looks Authentic to me. Been in the business 25+ years. Thumbs UP for this video, Look forward to an update on this topic, Junkman!
What a freaking find! I have six figures I got Christmas 1978 I never opened. I got doubles and triples that Christmas so I just never opened them. It’s crazy what I could sell them for today. I treasure them to this day lol my wife wants me to sell them but nope.
I had a neighbor growing up that I know for a fact his mom bought every star wars figure and put them in storage and didn't let him open them. She used to brag about it saying they would be worth a ton one day. Crazy right!

Hopefully he got doubles to play with after all they are toys 😉
Thanks for reporting on this junkman. Keep us in the loop. I have 5 vintage on card figures myself. All from one big collection I bought a few years ago. This is awesome!
I had something similar happen in the early 90s , my Uncle worked for a store in Tasmania Australia called Fitzgerald's, they had changed owners and moved there toy section, while he was going through boxes to be thrown out or kept he found two full boxes of Return of the Jedi figures . They had had water damaged cards due to where they were stored but I ended up getting about 75 , he knew I once collected them so he gave them to me instead of throwing the box. I honestly had moved on from Toys and was into guitars and skateboarding and girls so they ended up just sitting in my garage for years and then I sold them to a second hand store for like 100 bucks. I had no idea they would end up so loved at the time.
This is insane. So many dream figures in this lot. Shame they aren't going to sell them individually.

Yes how going to buy 400 like most people only what a few figures on card like I would only go for boba fett
My childhood. I remember opening them for Christmas
Damn, I bet this will hurt the price a bit but probably won’t much since there still very rare and demand is high and they’ll probably get picked up quick.
As I said before, if it IS legit (which it could very well be) then it would be a hell of a find, unfortunately if they do get sold especially individually, then they will want a bloody fortune for them.
This is truly a collector's paradise! Thanks for sharing the video.
I've been working too much. glad I watched this. made me feel good.
Almost 10 years ago a sealed case of G1 triple changers was found collecting dust in the back of a TRU. There's a neighborhood drug store by me that for the last few Christmases that have been putting out old toy stock from the 90s. Toy Biz X-Men, Superhuman Samurai Syber Squad, etc.
Man what a stellar find and such a thing of beauty! Luke in Stormtrooper armor is my holy grail figure I never could find as a kid, my parents took me everywhere looking but never saw one once...and still don't have unfortunately.
Such an amazing find! Thank you for the news report!
Man!!! Seeing this made my heart rate go up. If I found something like this, Id keep one or two of each and give the rest to people like us. I'd share the love and let some other people enjoy the find on one condition. That they don't sell them. I'd give em away for the love of collecting and would want others to feel the same. Screw the money.

You couldn't force someone to keep them and not sell them. A box of this stuff could pay off a house or allow someone to retire. There would be nothing wrong whatsoever with auctioning it off.
@That Junkman great video, exciting stuff ... thank you very much for sharing this with us.
This raises my heart rate. Gorgeous seeing them laid out like that
For those saying this find is too good to be true all sorts of things can be forgotten. I worked at the Maydown Du Pont site for 20 years and when what we called the 'far side' the orginal part of the plant was decommissioned in the early 2000s 4 Rolls Royce motors unopened in orginal shipping crates where found. When Rolls Royce was contacted they actually purchased the engines back as they where so rare.
When the Hoth action figures made it to Corning , NY ...I was real excited ( I was 13) I begged my Grandmother for the cash to buy just 1 Snow Trooper. That was a feat in itself...When I made it to our Fay's Drug Store to buy one...they were ALL gone. ALL of the Snow Troopers...nearly 30 of them , vanished. And this from mere hours. I went to my buddies house to tell him of this when I noticed he & his 2 brothers had their Star Wars figures sett up in the living room. And THERE were the missing Snow Troopers ! Their white uniforms in stark contrast to the red shag carpet...They had "Hocked" every single figure that just came in , hours earlier. The thief wouldn't even sell me one.
Love it when people find stuff like this
Holy cow, what a find! It will interesting to see how they split this up. I think you are right, most people won't be able to buy a whole lot of the the same figure, so it will be resellers buying and selling one at a time.
The Junkman delivers The Best Vintage Kenner Starwars News......Period!
There was a Lionel Kiddie City that had a bunch of Mego Spiderman Dolls NEVER put out and found them when it was closed. A Children's Palace had a bunch of Mego Superhero Dolls NEVER put out and have been in those boxes since the mid 70's and Children's Palace closed in 92. One Boba Fett in box is worth around $50,000-$100,000 for one on card intact! You could be set for life if you were to sell the whole set!
Wow, I would love just to see those in hand!😁. Awesome story Junkman!👍. Thanks for sharing and stay STRONG!!!!👍😁🙏
My Mom and Uncle had a 5&Dime type store here is Philly in 1979 till 81..In the later 90’s I found a few boxes of items left over from those days..Among the junk there was a carded Welcome back Kotter figure, a box of Topps Black Hole cards, some rack toy..And a carded Star Wars 12 back Jawa..I was knocked out!.Nothing compares to this though..If it’s true that is
Wow, this brings me so many memories as a kid what a gold mine, I see money here.
Great info and heads up Junkman. Thanks!!
I still have my original Kenner Star Wars figure and ship collection in great shape. The 100+ figures are all in gently used condition with all of their original weapons, capes, cloaks, and accessories, and funnily enough, even as a kid growing up in the 70's and 80's, I had the foresight to keep the card backings for as many figures as possible, so I have original card backs by General Mills with illustrations of the original 12 figures on the back, various cards with figure offers (Boba Fett, 4-LOM, Bossk, the Emperor, Admiral Ackbar, etc.), as well as Kenner triple logo card backs (many unpunched) from the time my family and I visited Scotland in 1986 and a toy store in Edinburgh was still selling and clearing out Star Wars figures and some ships. Yes, those stunning mint condition vintage Kenner Star Wars figures in the video are bringing up a lot of fond memories. Thanks for the video, That Junkman. :)
Wow impressive such a lucky guy never had that luck well good for the person who found it Thanks Junkman for sharing
I sincerely am glad you are doing well, and wish you continued success in your efforts.
By the late 70s early 80s we were getting early collectors who knew these toys would be worth money in another 30 years. They had seen what happened to comics and toys from the 50s and 60s that were tossed away.
Er. Muh. Gerd. What beautiful displays of pure vintage amazingness.
I'm literally going to have dreams about this collection tonight.
Really cool find. Those things are basically in PRISTINE shape. I am 54 years old and can still remember buying these things with my allowance! Is Kenner even still in business? Awesome Video and thank you for sharing!
I suspect this is the same lot I saw in another KZread video. A guy bought all the contents of a hoarder's house. There were loads of original Star Wars action figures, including a few original manufacturer's boxes of new action figures, just the same as these ones.
A couple of years ago I came across a KZread video of a guy exploring an abandoned Children's Palace toy store. The building caretaker told the KZreadr that the store was shut down in the mid 80's with the contents of the store still inside intact. The video of him exploring the store was incredible. It was moment in time captured. I wonder if these figures are from that store.
OMFG! why can't I be the guy to make that find? Junkman, you know I NEED all those Stormtroopers! Get them for me!

Awesome video of the star wars figures collection looks amazing👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I worked at a toys r us back in 1998. One night I was off while there was a remodel going on. A case of unopened Return of the Jedi figures was found. The manager said since it wasn't in the system that whoever wanted it for $10 could have it. Needless to say, I didn't get it because I was off and found out the following day 🤬. Some guy bought it and I always wonder which figures were in it.
I see in the Walrusman group a 3rd version with the red and yell sticker on it (same as the 1 Greedo) Just amazing to see so many
Wow! Holy Grail stuff Junkman!!
Im not a star wars fan, however I am a collector of all types of toys and figures. I would love to have some of these in my collection. Incredible. Some of the prices, good lawd!
That's insane! I would think there is somewhere around Cincinnati that these things happen. Like some kid cleaned out the dumpster at Kenner or whatever.
Could you imagine finding those in a attic.i would probably pass out.i like that junk man jersey you have on.the black and gray with the red is pretty cool.
Beautiful stuff. I would give anything to get one of those just to open them and give them a good whiff to find out if they still have that Kenner vintage smell.
I enjoy just looking at them.
I still have my very first 12 figures from 1977 on the card back. I Bought them myself back in the late 70's. But I've had 1 person say they're all fake. So I'm having them put in a hermetically sealed box and Berried with me when I Die.
Is there any reason why the original owner wants to sell them now?

All I can think of when he said look at all those Boba Fetts is. "Boba Fett, Boba Fett. Where?"
Oh my goodness. What a find.
Imagine what these would go for if they had them graded and sold off individually or in smaller multi character lots.

I remember putting the power of the force & tri-logo figures up on the pegs in 1986 when I worked as Asda
Dear God! Truly beautiful to behold and man, I am jealous!
Oh man! Those B-Wing pilot, imperial dignitary, jawa, Darth Vader figures are so sweet. Not to mention the Han Solo fig, whoa! Thank you and have a great weekend Junkman!
Junkman, This is a true Story ! In the 80's I get my Luke Bespin and Lando Directly from a New unopened box from the defendants in the supermarket, I was awesome due to the mix of figures in there, and I remember that as that day. Checking the photos and doing counting about the mix found of this discover figures fits perfectly with this box I saw in the supermarket. Of course not for all figures but at least those I saw. Being a child there are some images you can't put out of your mind. Thanks for your excellent video. May the Figures be with Us. Always !

Great story
This is a great find. I really hope they don't sell these as a lot auction but individually. I would buy a Darth Vader and Luke original immediately. Individually of course. Just because these two figures are truly my best I played with the most.
Speaking of items lowering in price, the Aurora Model kits lessened greatly in value when Polar Lights re-released the Aurora Monster Model kits in 1998.
What a amazing find! This definitely looks to be from someone who owns a toy store.

Or more likely just worked there. I did this back at KB Toy Liquidator, picked similar items up 22 years ago in the case, saved em for a while, then listed on eBay 1 at a time. Oh bonus, as an employee i got a 25% discount on their already low price. Good times!
Time traveler went back in time, stashed the figures in a safe place. Hopefully more like this soon to be found.

My 12 Y.O. self thinking why did I open those packages and play with those toys? Because I was 12 and loved Star Wars!
The Black Swamp baseball card find was a seemingly improbable find that is totally epic….things like this happen
I also bought a few boxes of these when the figures were on sale and put them away
You should do a video on the Sgt Rock action figure line. Anyone that would like to see that, please thumbs up this comment. 👍🏻
They look beautiful...🤘🏼💯✔️
Wowie wow Wow WOW wow!
There's another thing about putting one lot with that many figures up for auction at an auction house. The auction house gets a certain percentage (I think 30%, since I remember hearing that number mentioned on Pawn Stars when Rick talked about putting something up for auction) just to sell the figures. Selling the figures one or two at a time would net more money, but it would also take a lot longer to sell them all.
This is some serious shit right here. Lemme tell you a story. Before this global shutdown occured I was on Ebay and started seeing some weird shit coming out of Venezuela. As it turns out, ATARI had a warehouse there that would recieve everything coming to the U.S. . Well, the warehouse was abandoned (or seized) and the merch inside was left there. When the folks over there were freaking out....running out of food these items started turning up on Ebay and I got SEVERAL untouched...FULL boxes of 5200 games and saw pics of full boxes of brand new controllers......game decks and track balls. UNTOUCHED since 1984. It does happen and now with 400 pieces coming to market the guys holding onto the stuff they got are shitting themselves. What a great day.
I can still remember the smell of the original figures....
Same thing happened with the original Nintendo NES games. someone stored hundreds of black box game from the eighties, He just started selling them a couple of years ago.
5:33 I see at least 1 possible DT Vader (left of first row) 💕 without seeing these in person I've seen enough to say these appear to be real just by looking at the lithograph (the FX-7's and that Stormy Luke @7:30 are for sure you can see the glue around the bubble 😘) good fun and no I can't find stuff like this either
Whoever buys these will probably break this up and sell them individually. The buyer will probably be a toy dealer

Speechless.
The Jawa's also starred in the Movie , Phantasm....Haha
as kids in early 80s this was all we had there was no internet no i phones no netflix. this is why no other generations can have a connection to star wars like gen x does
it looks like the entire Lando System
I collect open stuff but some of that caught my eye as awesome my favorite was the imperial dignitaries but I know the Luke sky walker pof is awesome too its all cool
FARM BOY!
I don't remember Boba Fett on that card back. I got the figure through the mail in offer, and by the time the figure was released they had the ESB packaging. It was a long time ago however.

He was release a few months after the mail away ended on the SW card in 1979
I don't doubt they are fake. The guy kept a case of each wave. Not like 40 cases of the same wave. The most he had of one figure was the 24x case of Yoda. Also looks like the Vader case had 12 Vaders where the usual amount was 8.
Amazing!
Amazing

That luke farmboy 4th from the left looks like a dt saber that is pulled out
i mailed away for some of my figures like the emperor and 4lom and Admiral Ackbar and Nein Numb, so i never saw what their boards looked like
wow... hard to imagine...
Someone won the lottery!!! Wow!!!
Unbelievable 🔥
Wow! That is one awesome find. I would be happy with just one each of the figures. I don’t think they will be able to sell all the figures to one person. Unless it’s a millionaire… lol 😂. If it were me I would match up the figures in sets of one each different figure per set. Keep up the great work!!! 😎
People do find them. There was an old toyshop that later became a baby goods shop. I mentioned Star Wars and the owner had a few boxes of unopened stock. I bought quite a few for very little money in early 92...when my Mother had the atic insulated the guys who did it stole them all! Unpunched, 5star or condition A! Estimated there was well over 20k worth, some mega rare. I'm gutted as they were more sentimental as my father died in 94 and he bought them for me.
Finally had the time to watch this. Granted I'm drunk af, but good video.
If I ever found an old dusty box with contents like this,I think my bowels would open immediately.
Talk about hitting the lottery!!!!!
