100% the thought was that "making the queen will get taken, so what's the point?" And, technically, because the queen was on the board, the game went from a lose to a draw (let's ignore that it was winning to make the queen in the first place).

Haha I swear this video is pure GOLD. I was laughing the whole time. The mistakes made in this match are kind of bad but Goth's reactions are worthy of a place in history. Tbf to White, they thought that promoting to a queen is only worthwhile if they get to keep it, so they didn't want to promote because they knew they would just lose it right away, without considering that it would be a massively good trade in their favour.

@@U20E0 one theory I heard is that when army officials tell someone that their relative died, they take their cap off and hold it to their chest. So "no cap" means it's serious, so "cap" means it's not. I have no proof for this tho, just something I've heard

I started losing hair at 22 I have a small patch at the top of my head since then but now I'm 31 and it kinda stopped at that. It still looks good from the front, I don't really care either way.

i think he was scared to trade the pawn for the queen even though it's forced mate, because at 500 NO ONE knows how to checkmate with rook and king. A lot of people even at 1000 don't know how to do it

@@Wasteman365 some people have more natural ability to see certain tactics or they practice puzzles, but don’t learn the end games. Getting to 1000 literally just requires basic tactics, one solid opening understanding for each color and nothing else

@@asgacc8789 Play slowly, 15 minute games, watch for obvious attacks like forks, checkmates, back ranks, traps, non-benificial exchanges, ect. Do not get tunnel vision. Know how to defend against common tricks like the fried liver attack, ect. Learn a few solid openings for playing as white and playing as black. You can get to 1000 elo if you do these things.
