On 27 May 1967, over 90 per cent of Australian’s voted ‘Yes’ to count Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the census.
This was a momentous turning point in Australian history, giving the Australian Government the power to make laws for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

    Though it seemed the right thing to do at the time, it wasn't. Today, clearly one of the most societally divisive mistakes Australians of the time could have made then or EVER.
