This rug is actually a little newer than 40 years old. Karastan came out with this rug called the Navy Heriz from Original collection of rugs around the year 2000. I see that it only has the serial number tag and not the original label which is the true identifier of its age. It would have originally had a black and white label. Very lovely rug. Karastan rugs clean up very nicely.

Hahaha! I live in Southern California & we're in the middle of a HUGE drought right now. So, there wouldn't be a need to call the water company because they would have already been in touch with TruClean handing out fines for exceeding water usage! We aren't even allowed to water our own lawn let alone "waste" water cleaning a rug! If we get caught doing something like washing down the driveway (which has got to be done once in awhile) we can incur HUGE fines! So, lucky them! Take care my Ruggie Friends!

I would love to do this! It's got to be so satisfying to take it from dirty to beautiful again. I have a hard time falling asleep. Since I've been watching your videos I fall asleep way faster. It must be the sound of the machine. Sounds crazy but your videos have been a blessing for me. I've probably watched all of them. Some several times! Please keep posting them 😊❤ And my family loves donating to St Judes also. We have for many years.

Was the house the rug was in flooded or something? That's the only way I can imagine the owner of such a nice rug letting it get that dirty.

Люди удивляются, как много тратится воды, а мне, наоборот, кажется, что ее расходуют максимально экономно :) Шланг просто так включенным не лежит, долго воду на ковер не льют, стоит бак-накопитель на кубометр воды (сглаживает перебои с водой?), а это не так уж и много даже просто для жизни. Стирка - всегда затратно по ресурсам, но и без нее невозможно, вон сколько грязи в ковре накопилось...

I wish he would have manually brushed the rug. There were a lot of dark areas still on it, when it was wet.

Why would you let a Beautiful rug like that get so dirty? If you can't take care of it give it away before it gets this dirty. 🤔

Just trying to figure out why you avoid the fringe with the machine at the beginning and why you run the squeegee across and not down fringe to fringe…. All other rug cleaners I watch clean fringe to fringe directionally… you are giving yourself tonnes of extra work. However, that said, you did end up with a cleaner rug in the end but not before using a whole bunch of product, electricity, water and time… still stained and the fringe is manky looking…. Sorry. Could do better.
