After installing the mods from the website, how do you make the mods work in the files?

This is like one of those videos showing how much better NV's combat is to 4 (with 500 mods) but without being a jackass and actually informative. nice work.

I don't think it makes it better objectively, but I 100% prefer this combo of mods over FO4. The point is to just use mods that keep the vanilla game balance & gameplay intact while spicing it up.

You guys arguing that fallout New Vegas combat is better than fallout 4. But with mods. I argue that just plain jain. Vanilla is better than fallout 4. New Vegas gunplay feels better than fallout 4 without mods. Fallout 4s gunplay feels like a generic call of duty and honestly New Vegas base gunplay with its recoil and stuff is great. If your shooting 5.56 and 9mm.

You know your load order is gonna take huge a hit anytime Mutant Mods uploads a new video

facts

I like how vanilla combat works and don't like overmodding my game, but a lot of this looks really cool, especially clean animations, viewmodel recoil and lead ballistics. I'll 100% download some of this later. I like how this list feels like an actual improvement on the gameplay instead of those stupid youtube clips where the dude mods his game to look like COD and claims it to be better than 4, you did a very good job selecting what to put in. Can't wait for future uploads!

For anyone passing by in 2023 there's a fix for the mentioned issue of ballistics on the .50 BMG a comment on the mod posted by eyestalker said "The .50 BMG bug turned out to be trivial to fix - the projectile type for it is erroneously set to "Flame" instead of "Missile", so it sticks to the end of the barrel. One click in FNVEdit and it works perfectly."

this video is great. i hate all those new vegas gunplay videos where they mod the hell out of it and make it unrecognisable, but you've found a great combination here. and patching the bugs with the scopes? amazing. great job.

While the mod list is extremely useful and I'm grateful you showcased these all here. I'm more stunned to hear Westerado music being played in the background. It's been ages since I played that, so thank you for reminding me of nostalgic times!

It was a very fun game, only played it once but the experience was unlike anything and really captures the western vibe. Music is a huge part of it.

Awesome vid! I don’t have a gaming pc (yet!) but as a FNV lover, it’s awesome to see what the modding community is doing.

This is great man. Tried a good few of them out last night and it’s just a different game. Love the realistic feel of everything especially the Ragdoll mod. Thanks a lot.

Appreciate the work you put into these videos. The explanations of the mods is so helpful.

I would highly reccomend agaist see through scopes, for the reasons he says in the video, but also it will be incompatible with nearly everything that edits the weapon mesh at all and any alternate animation overhauls. Better to you peripheral scope overhaul. Which makes your scope not black around the edges, like a simplier version of the true scopes mod.

It's nice to see a lot of mods from me and my friends here:)

Those mods are what I’m currently using in my play through & 30 hours in I have not crashed a single time. There might be more issues that I’m not aware of but since I haven’t stumbled upon them, I’m guessing they’re benign. Also 13:31 to witness raider getting stomped in the balls even after begging for his testicles life to be spared.

you missed some good ones, immersive recoil and npc immersive recoil, it has actual recoil which is customizable when you fire weapons works great with hitman's ironsight recoil animations, especially because that means npcs dont unload on you when they see you but fire more conservatively since they worry about recoil, fits the setting well, goes well with a damage multiplier mod, speaking of which shotguns suck so lets fix them with the 00 commando remastered mod that makes shotguns more powerfull, that is all shotguns even modded ones and live dismemberment that does what it says while the enemy is still alive, like the ghouls in fallout 4.

Best Mod List by far this month, really liking this type of mod list

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT ADDITION: Change the line bNoTurningAnim = 0 to bNoTurningAnim = 1 in Stewie's tweaks. This fixes the slip and slide movement where you keep moving after you let go of the movement keys.

They had the time to do it. They just didn't want to. Fallout NV is not some perfect game that could've been even more perfect. It's just a good rpg with mediocre gameplay.

@Boundyy They had 18 months to: Reuse the guns and animations. (So literally no work put into that.) Make a wasteland of map, add copy and pasted guns with some new ones. The MOST they had to do was write story and side quests. The story is the definition of "Over rated." Now the side quests and compianin quests are great, but everything else is over rated to hell. They had MORE than enough time to do more with 18 months. But they literally wasted it.

Honestly you’re the best modding youtuber out there. I really like how you stay true to the vanilla feel of the game in your videos, which are supremely well edited and have great feel and layout to them. I haven’t played FNV in a year but i just keep watching your videos bcuz they’re that good.

Now these mods are a must on my list. I really improve the combat a lot and it's a lot of fun.

The .50 BMG but in Lead - Bullet Ballistics turned out to be trivial to fix, the round type is erroneously set to "Flame" instead of "Missile" (so it behaves like flamer's fire animation), opening the .esp in FNVEdit and fixing it stops the bug from happening.

@@AlexaAXAG Are you using Mod Organizer 2? If yes, use this guide: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oH6g1pejgdephdI.html to install FNVEdit and add it to MO2, but only select the Lead - Bullet Ballistics.esp. When it loads, on the left click on + next to Lead - Bullet Ballistics.esp, then click on + next to Projectile. Find entry with Name ".50MG Rifle Bullet". In the right part of the window you'll see its stats, both from FalloutNV.esm (vanilla) and next to it from Lead - Bullet Ballistics.esp. You now want to find "Flame" in the rightmost column (I think it's in the row "Type"), click on it and choose "Missile" from the list. The last thing you need to do is to save the file you've just edited. The tutorial I linked says you can just close FNVEdit and it'll prompt you if you want to save it, but you can also do it manually by clicking the triple horizontal line button in the top left corner of FNVEdit.

Gopher's animation FOMOD and diagonal movement are really, really good if you want your character in 3rd person to move with less jank.

Pretty cool vid , nice mods too . Some of them give me ideas about modding F:NV to have trigun scale gunfights ( think the first scene of ep 1 of trigun . Hordes of guys armed to the teeth unloading on a small Inn . Just wiping it out , splatters everywhere dust too and nothing left of the Inn ).

Smooth iron sights is covered by lStewieAl's Tweaks and Engine Fixes among other settings like manual reload.

one of my pet peeves in the 3d fallout games was weapon kick on energy weapons. comparatively to projectile weapons, there is no explosion or mass leaving the gun (a negligible amount) so there shouldn't be any noticeable "kick" when firing them.

I agree laser weapons should have very little recoil for realism, although plasma is actually a state of matter and since plasma balls in fallout are slower moving projectiles I think it’s cool plasma guns have recoil I guess the unrealistic recoil is just meant to add balance between laser guns and ballistic guns

10:03 i been looking for this mod for years thanks :D, i used to shoot enemies im the nuts whit vats in fallout 1 and 2, that was a robocop run for me now i can do the same in new vegas :D

I'd also add NPC recoil because NPCs shoot like they have infinite ammo at times.

The weapon animation overhauls are great I just wish there was more people working on melee and unarmed. There are some mods but the demand simply isnt as high as the guns, but you did make a great modlist.

yeah one thing ive always wanted is being able to target limbs in vats with unarmed and melee, must be an engine limitation if it hasnt had a mod made of it yet

Can't the developers and programmers, as well as Bethesda Studios, even think about something like that? It's always nice to see that the Fallout fan base consists of clever, proactive and farsighted people. Bethesda should take a look at that! the devil is in the detail. Awww thank you for the mxr love! I spent many years watching that man, it kills me to see what YT has done to him. I discovered him from his skyrim, and stayed with him all through his fallout 4 videos. Also thank you for showing what a lot of these mods do, I see their names a lot (because I like to look at what's trending on nexus), but never click on them!
