40 Best Rush Guitar Riffs (4K)
Hi I'm Stompbox and I'm doing a video series of 1000 of the best guitar riffs of various eras and bands. Rush has too many great riffs so I focussed on their earlier albums as these show the evolution of their sound and feature their most legendary songs. I may make another Rush video in the future including other great Rush riffs to cover those I may have missed here. I tried to match the tone of each riff to the album sound as well as programmed similar drum beats to the ones on their albums. Check out the other videos in this series for more great riffs!

Dude...your clean tone during the "Tears" verse riff cures all sorts of diseases. It is this hauntingly beautiful thing, a crystalline tear. Lovely.

Great video. I will tell you, some of Rush’s best and heaviest riffs are on their latest stuff. Counterparts, Vapor Trails, and Clockwork Angels are all riff goldmines. Earthshine, Nocturne, Ceiling Unlimited, One Little Victory, Double Agent, Cold Fire, Stick it Out, Animate, Driven, Test for Echo, Carnies… Lots of good stuff just on their last 5 albums. 80s had some great riffs too. Kid Gloves is constantly overlooked.

The whole album is a masterpiece. Necromancer and Fountain of Lamenth are absolute bangers.

This was nice, nice to see what is going on, even though I don’t play guitar. Had to rewind to see ‘The Trees’ again. Surprisingly, that portion of The Trees seemed very good, it’s kind of s forgotten song. Maybe it was the best till Circumstances.
Great work, sir! Please, however, re-record the entire tribute on a Gibson Es 355 in honor of Lerxst.
