Lesson learnt is never lie at no time, especially if moving into to a new apartment and neighborshood. They will ask you same question in different format by different people, just to know if you're lying init. If you stay will a co-shared family, never take their one time niceness as continuous. Take it as for the moment, they could switch on you if they are in bad mood or just start hating you for no reason. 3. Don't run your country down to foreigners, you may say some of your leader are not doing well, but don't generalized, else you will be seen in that light instantly.

No one should ever be forced/ made to feel bad for refusing to be a guarantor for anyone! Should one default/ lose the job it will be the guarantor’s responsibility to pay. Judging anyone for this is a sign of entitlement!

I liked everything she said except that guarantor. When I moved to London many years ago, I asked a British guy to do me guarantor he ran away. I was upset then but today I would have run away myself. In high insight. It is a very serious legal financial obligation you know…….. as I grew older I realized. Scammers in the Uk 🇬🇧. Indian voice, Indian voice. I gave them all my details thinking that they were actually selling phones.

Excellent Job Nanelle, I have lived in and out of the UK for 40 years. Not much has changed.Greatest lesson I’ve learned -not everyone who smiles at you at work , will smile at you outside the office. Mind the use of the word ‘Friend’. Back home, once a relationship between individuals is cordial, we would say he/she is a friend. It’s not so in the UK.

@@NanelleGriselda I have young relatives whom their parents are considering to sponsor for UK study visas after their SSCE this year. I dont have enough information about schools but I do know it's possible to get cheap schools outside London in the rest of England and Scotland too. Please do u have any advise or list of average schools for bsc ? Someone mention about some school offering scholarships but not sure about that

Great lessons! The hitting/scratching of car thing, to be on the safe side, if the owner does not show up, leave a note with your details and video yourself leaving it so that no one will say you ran away.

Hey Nanelle! As usual, you did justice to the video. Well done!! I want to contribute to the part where someone refused to sign as your guarantor. I really do not blame them because it entails a lot but many people do not understand this. Acting as a guarantor for someone else can have several disadvantages: 1. Financial Risk: As a guarantor, you are responsible for paying the rent if the tenant is unable to pay. This can put a strain on your finances if the tenant defaults on their rent payments. 2. Credit Score Impact: Acting as a guarantor can impact your credit score, as your credit report will show that you have co-signed a lease. This can make it more difficult for you to get approved for credit in the future. 3. Legal Liabilities: As a guarantor, you may be legally liable for any damage caused to the rental property by the tenant, or for any unpaid rent. This can make you responsible for large sums of money if the tenant does not fulfill their obligations. 4, Time-consuming: Being a guarantor can be time-consuming, as you may need to provide proof of income and other documentation to the landlord. You may also need to be available to sign the lease and other documents. 5. Relationship strain: If you are guaranteeing a friend or family member, and they are unable to pay their rent, it can put a strain on the relationship. 6. Limited control: As a guarantor, you have limited control over the tenant's behavior or actions in the rental property, which can lead to potential problems such as damage to the property or disturbance to neighbors. It's important to weigh the potential risks and benefits before deciding to act as a guarantor for someone else. It may be better to suggest alternative options like paying a larger deposit or finding another guarantor.

Yhhhh I don’t blame them either was only explaining the part that a white person might in some situations be willing to go extra mile for you than your fellow black . Well explained point though… wise man 🙏🏽
