I use a extra large scewlock and the mustad 91768 jig hook 1/0 for the 2.5 and 4/0 for the 3.5.When the head of the bait tears out i just melt it shut by melting over a candle and my final tip is if you get the tail bit off use a small srewlock swivel and small willow or Colorado blade and screw into where tail was

How many blades do you use this way? I can’t imagine they stay in that plastic long, or at all if you catch a fish.

@@KruiserIV they hold up reasonably well.I usually use this technique till the weeds get to bad by fouling the blade then I will run strands of skirt material thru it similar to a geecrack imo

Screw lock on a 4/0. When the screw pulls a small plug out, have more 4/0 hooks with over size screw locks by VMC to fill the hole and grab material. This guarantees me two fish per bait.

Screw lock hook!!!! The O ring makes it look horrible lol and also puts weight on the nose yoi dont want when rigging weightless you want the bait to be equal so it flows down horizontal as it was meant to do. Ways to repair is easy, mend it when out fishing and use actual plastisol when at home. Just buy a small amount of good clear soft mixture plastisol (soft plastic making plastic) microwave he plastisol as directed, stir then just quickly dip just the nose of the yamatanuki in the plastic to create a new thin layer plus melt the existing plastic back together. Youll save a bunch over time becuase you can also do that trick on any soft plastics the nose gets torn on.
