Good points! I knew there was some drawback with that sliding cover. Not sure I feel it's worth the complication of adding a clear plastic cover. Having the peelers stay sharp has never been a problem in my experience. But adding moving plastic pieces tend to be a sure way to have things break or gather crap in hard to clean places.

I'd easily find a home for the Flisk in my kitchen. I own an original Kitchen Wizard tong style whisk and it's what I use when I make sauces, emulsions, and my homemade hot cocoa over the stove in a small saucepan. A balloon whisk won't get into the corners like a flattened whisk will and that's why I still have that relic in my drawer to this day. 😊

I kept expecting the juicer to break, especially when squeezing the orange. I have broken two of the metal juicers that use a similar action, with a dome shape design, where the joining hinge pin failed while squeezing limes. I’m pretty intrigued by the sharpie, and the round grater, I have nerve damage in my hands plus arthritis so I really see a benefit with those two.

I had heard of the mini whisk. The reason the blade on a peeler rotates is cuz you can peel going up and back. The only thing that would bother me about the peeler is it doesn't have a big handle and for someone with a Mobility problem it wouldn't work real well. I do like that Shredder but I don't shred things as much as I like things like that for slicing fine vegetable pieces. I'm glad you tried it out.

The only thing I don't like about the Sharple and other self-sharpening things is all the microscopic flecks of metal that will end up in your food. IMO it's better to just sharpen it occasionally when it gets dull and clean it right after to get rid of those flecks

  • @prva9347

Most hand-juicers require you to press down and twist. The Fluicer uses the same "squeeze your hands together" method that helps those with weak wrist(s) from arthritis or, say, in my case, an old sports injury. This is why I like the Helix range by Joseph Joseph e.g. garlic press, potato ricer. Thanks very much for demonstrating the Fluicer - I might just buy it, though what is offputting is the long handles and the fact that you, despite being fully able-bodied, found it rather hard to squeeze the handles closed.

I actually liked them in the order you showed at the end... The Ograte... definitely for the round grating side. Then the Sharple peeler....how fast and sharp it was, and the idea of sharpening it every time you move the cover. Next would be the Mini Flisk...having 3 different style whisks in 1 tool. And last, the Fluicer... which I wouldn't buy, mainly due the strength needed to use it. It's cool how it squeezed the life out of the fruit, but I don't have a desire to use that much strength to achieve that. All in all, cool items. Oh, and I was curious if you were gonna try those combined juices.... loved your expression when you did. 😅

I used to sell knives for the somewhat notorious cutco, but the taught us to tell potential customers that self-sharpening sleeve knives would lead to getting little bits of metal shaving on the food you cut, so I'm curious if this could be a small drawback. For the fluicer, a good test would be to see if the way it squeezes leads to more from the peels getting into the juice and affecting the taste compare to a traditional juicer.

Be careful with the peeler. The sharpener does its job by GRINDING against the metal, which can leave tiny metal shavings on and round the blade. I'd think you'd want to rinse it after every opening and pump sharpening.

I have hand issues and the ‘fluicer’ is so easy to use. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten so much juice while processing lemons by hand.

The juicer comes in three sizes (and colours) to match your citrus size, eg. the orange is bigger to accommodate oranges. 😉 I love Dreamfarm’s utensils. They’re useful, quirky and easy to store. I own quite a few of them. The pepper/spice grinder (Ortwo) is fantastic! 🌹❣️

Love Dreamfarm! The one thing I wonder about the Sharple is when you sharpen knives you get burrs. Obviously don’t want to eat that. 😬

When sharpening a blade the most important part of that process is making the blade straight and true again because they will bend as you use them whether you can see it with the eye or not. That is one of his peeler is maintaining its sharp edge is because it's being straightened.

Fluser The peal is in direct contact with the juice. Fact: Non-eco coating chemistry cant be rinsed away from the peel Conclusion: -Only useable for rinsed eko-fruit. ..And also apparently a biceps training / exercise gadget.. Two functions in one gadget.. but.. The peeler looked great, but i think it will be hard to clean it(?)

I admittedly oddly collect juicers and what I am nerdily quick to correct are “reamers”, so I’m normally into getting the antique stuff, but I might need one of these fluicers as an example of 21st century advancements.

The self-sharpening peeler (Sharple) is removing some of the blade each time you slide the sharperning cover. That's how it sharpens. Where do these small metal fragments go? Shouldn't you rinse after each slide before using?

Ograter reminds me of an orange colored rotating grater my parents own that has a hand crank and changeably grating disks. The food is clamped down away from the hand so it's more safe

I’ve got severely arthritic hands and have so much pain when peeling fruits or veg. I’ve tried so many peelers and must’ve spent a fortune on utter rubbish. The one you demonstrated here looks perfect for me but I can’t find it in the uk. Do you know how I could get hold of one? Watch all your videos and have bought many items knowing I’d be happy with them thanks to you and your reviews

The issue with alot of collapsible products are their durability and longevity. Because of the extra mechanism to collapse/transform, there are more parts to failure. Though, this is very dependant on how often/frequent you use so only time will tell.

The only drawback that I see with the grater, is cleaning the double sided grate. A benefit of having a one-sided grate means you don’t shred your sponge or your fingers when you’re washing it off. Particularly if it’s quite sharp.
