4 Ways To Over-Complicate The Tube | S.U.R.F. ep 4 'Fake'

In that same timeless spirit, we came up with the final episode of S.U.R.F - where we took Ozzy, Krooky, Jel and Vinny to the frigid winter waters of Melbourne’s URBNSURF wave tank and asked them to complete a range of needlessly complicated surf-based skill tests.
We then asked our panel of 9 local experts, who decided 70% of the vote, to pick a winner.
The remaining 30% was determined at our party in Byron Bay, where the audience stuffed bolts into a life-sized cardboard cutout of their choosing, to crown the overall World Champ.
Let democracy/complexity prevail.

Love SURF. Wish there was a way to just smash heaps more of these out. Makes watching surfing so much more entertaining and forms an awesome connection between the surfers and not just their skills.

Bit of an anticlimax last episode, 4 different challenges at the wave pool plus party plus results all crammed into 12 mins?? The surfers barely said a word :((

Great series! Some suggestions for future series: KZread surf coaches / presenters comp (Kale Brock Vs. Noel Sales vs Wooly vs OMBE vs Ben Gravy), old pros comp (Taj, Parko, Mick, Kelly, Pottz, Occy, Kalani etc. etc), Pros + average joe team comp..
While I love comp surf and big wave stuff this holds a special spot. I want to rip like these guys.

Nobody is better at life than Ozzie, and he’s way better at surfing than anyone in this Americans perspective. Go anywhere and ask about Ozzie and they will tell you that he is the ultimate ripper. It’s unfair to put him against anyone else

Over complicate the tube??? You mean like going upside down and sticking to the top of the tube.... Yeah boring. Been there done that, had to make my own T shirt. Very small club that you know. PS. If you know anyone else whos been there , id love to compare notes on what creates the anti gravity effects.... As far as i know, im numero uno onlio !!!!💥🙃
Ozzie was dece in all but id probably only pick him as standout in the hitch hike surf challenge. His under 4 ft board was straight dog shit. I dont really remember Ozzie's performance in the money one I just remember being blown away by Crooky and Vinnie. In the pool the fish looked too hard to wrangle compared to Jelly's and Vinnies Misfits which looked so at home out there.

If I was calling it, I'd probably be melting because Jelly I felt was up there every time. Krooky killed it in a couple of spots, but bombed in the last two. Vinnie was great in the pool and a standout in the cash, not that good on the 4ft or the hitchhiking and Ozzie was the standout at hitch-hiking and okay in most the others. To me it feels so close to a 4 way tie 😂
