4 Types of Truck Builds

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There are many different types of truck builds. Here are 4 popular types of truck builds! Which type of build are YOU?! www.customwheeloffset.com/
Factory OEM Plus Build
These types of builds don't require a ton of money or a ton of research to jump into and won’t impact factory performance but still allow you to personalize your truck.
Show Truck Builds, SEMA Builds, Attention Grabbers
On the opposite end of the spectrum, these builds are guys that are looking for attention or building a social following. They typically are after the biggest lift kits and widest wheels possible.
Off-Roading or Overlanding Trucks
The Overlanding community has a very specific purpose-built vehicle and what they're really doing is building a vehicle that is reliable and capable of going off-road. Whether you are offroading or Overlanding; you’re looking for the best possible results out of your vehicle, because it performs well and basically is simply living out of your truck on the weekends.
Functional Truck Builds
The end goal of a functional truck build is wanting to keep the functionality of the truck as a daily driver so it can haul some sheets of drywall in the back or hook up the boat and tow it to the lake for the weekend without any negative effects on the truck overall or its performance.

Honestly I'm a fan of both, I have a 2nd gen Cummins and probably won't go off-road with it I'll just be towing, so I'm running 20's on there, in my opinion if you're not gonna go off roading you mine as well just make a pretty clean looking eye grabber, but for off-roading builds, 100% more tire than wheel is always way better🤘🏻

Yea and it turns out they actually know what they're doing behind the wheel and the mods they have made are simply, pretty clean, and actually benefit the truck...then 2 years later they decide it would cost too much to complete legitimately and start doing dumb crap like cutting the diffuser on the rails down so that they can roll coal without a proper tune and good parts.

RC is a stiff lift kit, your gonna feel it on the road and off it. Not to mention last I check you still need wheel spacers for the rear so your tires don’t look off. I’m suggestion spend the extra money get a procomp lift kit. I call them the great value version of Kings lift kits.

I got a dash cam and i want to just be able to smash right into the aggressor and push them straight off the road. Dash cam will show road rage, but alittle payback is always an option. Something to laugh about before that cops get there and charge them with road rage hahahaha

The prices change a lot. The local 4wheelparts place want to charge me 150.00 a shock and like 200 something a strut and I was like forget that just went to a license mechanic and had installed.

Idk why you wouldn't include the ridge grappler with the overland group. I love mine and would trust those more than the wild peak at3, that's why I got them. These things have gotten me past 95% of things I've encountered. The last 5% was the 100 yard lenght of 4 foot deep snow. Only got about 25 yards into that.

I’m OEM+ for sure. I have a plan for little bit more aggressive exhaust, headlight to led bulbs, vinyl, al season tires that stick out just a little.. all modest nothing to flashy

Personally, I'm a combo of overlander and OEM+. I've got a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4 Litre (one of my mom's cars that I had bought off of her when she moved to Sweden) with grip pads, pro comp 15x10 -47, black, aluminum 8 hole rims, 31X10.5 duratracs and a 2" leveling kit (only had to cut a notch out of the bottom of the plastic bumper cover to fit). Mostly so I don't tip over on quad trails and so I can camp at the place I get to. The only mods I have planned for the future are a front winch, a roof rack with jacks and shovel and spare on top, and maybe 2 inch wheel spacers for the rear wheels. So far though, the 4.0 straight 6 Jeep ZJ has been my dream "everything truck" for the comfort, the capability (I have a 20 foot trailer for the summer that it tows with ease thanks to the optional, OEM, extra transmission cooler) and the functionality and I don't want to ruin the truck for what it already has. My summer car is a 1974 Ford Maverick (my mom's first car and my second car that I bought off her) that is staying bone stock as long as I can help it and I need to keep an all weather vehicle for the other times, being that I live in Canada. My mom was a gear head at heart, she just never had the money to show it (I can tell that because she always complained that she should've bought the standard transmission Jeep and not the "silly automatic") and I have a lot of respect for her as a person, so I figured I would explain why she raised me to be the way that I am. Great video BTW! You guys earned a new sub :)
