Honestly,it's always rubbed me the wrong way when veldanava is described as a caring father. Sure ,maybe he cared after he had milim. But what about before that? When he was all powerful and all knowing, he knew the course of actions he would end up taking after crippling himself would lead to his early death and orphaning of his daughter.

Technically while not Canon she actually is rimuru's daughter due to how she was made though her mother was shuna not milim.

tbh i don't ship rimuru x milim (i think it's just weird no offense)... i see their relationship more as just close friends, siblings or parent/child... like rimuru being milim's adoptive father rather than anything else. I just can't picture rimuru and milim ever having a romantic relationship at all.
