    All the bars look really cool, especially the Bin bar. But as a lowly English teacher with three kids in Hokkaido, 6000 yen for three drinks is really steep. I'd hope the cocktails are absolutely amazing!

    Went to Janai coffe last year, and it was wonderful! They're drinks were such an experience and so good. The staff there were so wonderful as well! I loved the name of the place too, so funny! Literally "Not Coffee", but posed as a coffee shop :) P.S. - They do serve coffee too and it was great to be able to get one to go at the end of the night!

    5000 yen for allegedly the best cocktails in town (3x) is a complete steal, especially smack in the middle of Tokyo! Is it _that_ cheap to drink in Japan?

  • @Nihonhack

    @Nihonhack

    This is actually considered expensive in Tokyo! Normal drinks are cheaper but I would not consider those “real” cocktails - it’s usually not very strong

    I remember when I was in Tokyo they had a coffee bar and the girls dressed up like school girls...and they pretended you were bad so they had to discipline you and they would get a ruler out and spank you. That by far beats any starbucks.

    Be mindful of the rules of the bar, spoken and unspoken. Especially if you're a tourist. This is ok but I recommend to be able to speak some Japanese. Many of these bars don't have anyone speaking English. Ebisu and Shinjuku are typical foreigner hangouts. There are many other areas to try so explore a bit more 😉
