My dog just died and I feel like I didn't take care of him well I feel so depressed and I can't get him off my head i just hope he's good now and happier I feel so bad I just didnt have enough money to take care of him I should of saved up and bought him all the things he needed he passed away yesterday and it just hurts so bad knowing that I can't pet him and see him anymore so plz guys take really good care of your dogs it doesn't feel good when you loose someone you love I feel so bad for not taking care of him more than what I did

Dogs can’t speak and tell you what they’re feeling. So I use that, to keep me from beating my self up, for not knowing there was something wrong with my best friend before he past on our walk.

✅ pulse : 120beats/min ✅ temp : 101 to 102.5F ✅ breathing: 10-35 breaths per minute ✅ gums: gum pink and moist

Thanks SO much for sharing this - it's SO important for dog owners to recognise these signs.

I request to everyone never own the dog if u can't give him time, if you can't fulfill his needs, if you can't give him good care. Because if he is died u will regret whole life and you will never think about to own dog. Dogs are very demanding. It's a reality. It's depressing also when they fall sick and you can't do anything.

For the breathing part, I'd count for the whole minute. You can do that multiplying thing with heartbeat though, since it's a more regular thing, but breath can be quite irregular so you might come up with a number either too high or too low. Just go for the whole minute.

It is pity that vets generally don’t permit payment arrangements. Pet insurance is only a reimbursement plan for expenses already paid up front. More charitable/donor organizations require a great deal of time to get approval and receive funds. To get the funds, some money must already be spent since getting approved involves at least a prior vet visit and diagnosis and often a prognosis. It’s easy to say “take your dog to the vet.” Easier said than done.

My dog looks just like the one in the video and he’s been having serious ear problems. He has a yeast infection and his ears are red and smelly. Some days, unlike usual, he just sits in his crate sleeping and doesn’t come when we call him. Thank you, now I can know if he’s okay when he’s asleep like this and hope he gets better!

My child just passed away a few hours ago and I’m literally numb! I’ve had my baby for 12 years and this was so unexpected! I literally am In disbelief! My family is literally heartbroken! She went through everything with me! 😭😭😭🙏🏾

I'm so sorry Jasmine! I'm going through the same thing right now and it's gut wrenching. What little time we have with the ones we love and the pain that's left when they're gone. My baby would've turned 9 next month.

I'm here because I just lost my dog today... lost another one over a month ago, I gutted! The one is sick too but it's still eating and energitic. I never noticed they were sick until I noticed their stomachs were enlarged and their back bone a bit elevated. I called a vet and he said they had worms, so we dewormed them but to no avail, their stomachs were still protruded. The other one had developed a limp but we thought it was an injury because she loves to play with rocks.... The eyes were swollen and red, the one that died used to be playful but had just kind of become inactive. I thought it was depression from losing their other friend a month ago. My dogs are a mix between roties and German sherpard. 3 days ago the one that died today just became really weak and wasn't eating. So I called in the vet who came in the next day and he said they had biliary fever and that it causes kidney damage, water in the stomach, swollen legs. So he put a needle in its stomach to drain some water and release pressure and only a bit came out and it was yellowish in colour.... then he gave it 4 injections. Asked that we give it milk and buy livers for it to replenish it's red blood cells. It was so weak. Tried giving it milk yesterday and it threw it all up. Tried giving it today but it would not eat. Someone lifted it up today to move it.... and an hour later it was dead. It went and hid itself behind the house and died there😢. Maybe when they were lifting it up they crushed it's liver or something because it's death ws so sudden. I'm still in tears over this. I'm hoping the other one recovers because it too was injected. Was it really biliary fever. Was googling the symptoms and haven't come across where it talks about swollen stomach. I need closure, what's killing my dogs 😢😢😢

I lost mine today .. he's energetic and playful all of sudden he started breathing heavily and few minutes later he took his Last breath ..im so broken.

My neighbors dog likes to hang out in my garden. I too like petting her as she takes a nap. But I don't know what has happened to her today. She would wiggle her tail every time she saw me. But today she just lies there with no reaction. It just broke my heart... My neighbors are completely careless towards her. I tried to feed her some food but nothing seems to help. We don't even have any vet's here. I can't stop worrying about her. It's not my dog, but my love for it is same as if an owner. All I can do is pray now..

@@universalallrounder He was just fine it seemed like, and then he all of a sudden laid on the floor and started breathing really heavy, his legs were sprawled all over in a strange way, and when he got up he stumbled and walked like he was drunk. So we took him to the emergency vet at about 11pm last Wednesday thinking they would be able to fix whatever was wrong with just some pills maybe... Turns out he had some kind of liquid around his heart in a sack. Inoperable, and if they tried to operate he would most likely die anyway, and even if the surgery was a success it would come right back in a few days, weeks, or a month. So the merciful - albeit incredibly difficult - thing to do was to end his suffering. Put him out of his misery. He was a very handsome Maltese named Oscar with the spunkiest personality you can imagine. We called him the canine cartoon because of how many different unique noises he made, and how he always was so willing to play and do something to make you laugh. I'll never stop missing him or remembering him, but eventually the pain will lessen. It's been a week, so the worst of the grief is probably behind me. Moral of the story, appreciate every little moment you have with your loved ones - pets and people alike - you never know when the big guy upstairs will decide to call them home. Or to call you home even. Pardon the long message.

And now my new dog hasn't been eating too much for the past 4 days. And from yesterday she has repeated vomiting and diarrhea. I am really scared. I lost my lab due to heart attack . At first he was just coughing , we thought it's an infection took him to doctor. It was lil better but after some days it got worsen , he started coughing a lot , breathing problems wasn't even able to lay down because then it was impossible for him to breath , he was quitting eating drinking water we gave him glocuse through siringe, his stomach bloated the worst part , his treatment was getting started in few days , but in between he went to the balcony alone his tongue became blue and vomitted blood and my baby died . I wish doctor removed the water from his stomach because that was putting pressure on organs.

Other signs that something is wrong. Lack of usual energy. Tail stops wagging. their coat looses it's shine, poor appetite, inconsistent poop. Its great to know how to check vitals, but most dogs will show at least 2 outward signs of illness long before you or a vet checks their vitals.

My 8 year old staffy died 2 days ago and we can’t figure out why, we suspect it was cancer or she had a stroke :(

I have been reading alot of these comments. Many people on here are confused about why their dog just died. If you have a dog that is still alive but not eating, vomiting, constipated, has diarrhea, lethargic, urinating alot, has unusual growths on skin, etc, take your dog to the vet to get xrayed and blood work done. You will find out what the problem is. My 14 yr old mini schnauzer has high levels of liver enzymes and cancer. She is on medication. I know she probably wont make it to next summer but I am happy to make her as comfortable as possible before she passes. When I was a child, we didn't take our dogs to the vet. They never got shots or check ups. When they died, we just cried and buried them in the backyard. Now that I am an adult, I am more responsible than I was raised to be. If you can afford it, take your dog to the vet. If you can't afford it, rethink pet ownership.

My dog has thrown up at least 10 times throughout the whole day and has been slow and mopey. I think it’s because she ate something she shouldn’t have yesterday (it was Easter) I’m not sure but she is sleeping on my bed right now and I have a bucket if she throws up and I have a fan on her ❤️ I know she will be better and back to normal tomorrow

If the dog ate chocolate and Keeps throwing up it most certainly isn’t going to just “get better”. Anyone reading this if your dog is in the same condition take it to the vet, even if costs you $200 and they say your dog is going to be alright, isn’t $200 worth saving your dog’s life?

I have a poodle that was born with a smaller artiery in her back left leg and she cant fully stretch that leg but she got used to it and she used that leg to jump and bounce when shes running...

My dog turn into a snuggle bug when starting to not feel well so I usually go by that, an he gets a pinched looking face if nauseous . So I put him in garden when he gets that look an stay with him incase I need to clean up. He once💩 glitter (food grade)mum made a wedding cake , guess some of the glitter got on floor , gave the vet /nurse a shock when he went bathroom at vets after sedation (gland issues)😳😁

What does it mean of my dogs stomach and ears are blood red? Also swelling to the face?

My dogs gums arent really any of those colors, its just like blotchy its pink then super dark like almost black but its like that everywhere. Is that bad?
