@@mondoshredder5783 Was it your injuries? I just finished watching The Crash Reel (great documentary on Keven Pearce and a testament to helmets.) and when he got out of the hospital after 3 months of fighting for his life and rehab his GF left him. Not sure why but Im assuming it's because he wanted to get back on the stick and land that god forsaken double cork. Glad to see he's come to terms with his life and that fact that he will never be able to compete again. Still sad though. =/

This is my go-to video at the beginning of every season: it's always good to restart from basics, since I don't have the chance to train snowboard during the rest of the year!
Thanks Duncan. I'm 54 and going Boarding with my daughter for the first time. I last boarded over 20 yrs ago. I'm so excited. #slowly #gently #keepitsimple

Discovered spinning last week on my own and had so much fun! Thanks for a lot more new idears to use and have fun!
Got to agree, one of the best videos and exactly what I was looking for! More like this please!
This is great advice. I’ve been boarding for years, but I think I might still go back and practice these basics to clean up my style.
the way that Blake can make the camera so smooth and ride effortlessly while Duncan stunts is beautiful. That is a next level cameraman. Duncan is steezy AF and delivers the info. Good style. thanks for the value guys! This video has helped a bunch of my family and little kids learn tricks. super job on this. Thanks!

So this randomly popped up on my feed. I dont ride often anymore but i watched your 3 and 5 tutorials 13 years ago. Glad to see this channel is still helping others improve.
Ur a legend! This is exactly what a snowboarder needs to be able to be an amazing snowboarder 🏂 Thx for the Teaching :)
Hell ya! Thx for the inspiration! Cant wait to put this into use. Presented very well! Ty!
This is great.. So many ideas. Thank you!
Feeling hyped. Took a couple of days off work in two weeks and rented a big ass house next to a resort with a couple of bros. Definitely gonna try this out on the easier slopes. Can't wait.

Great simple progression and spot on demos. Kudos!
Very clear, explained in a simple way, and useful! Thank you!
Snowboarding this Sunday is gonna be great, god I can't wait. Seriously gonna try out spinning for the first time and definitely hit the jumps a few more times. Time to take risks and have a blast doing it :) Love your videos SnowboardAddiction.
One of my favorite vids you've put out. Thanks!
Thank you very much! For so long positioning before doing tricks was so hard. I'll practice that as warming every time!
I was pretty radical for many years. I'm 44 now, have a neck injury, so basically I just go down the hill nowadays, and I think I love riding even more.
Great vid! 🤘🏼 Gutted I didn’t think to search this before going away! Have to wait till next January now.
I LOVE spinning down the mountain. So much fun and great practice for control. Love
This video was so awesome, exactly what I need right now. Some new easy trick ideas I can build up upon. Thank you so much!! :)
Simple and much more than useful! Thank you guys, the video is amazing. Now I have a plan for a season :D
Great skills Duncan, you make everything look so easy.
Great and inspiring stuff. Haven't been boarding for 4 years, next week going to the mountains. Going to practice these to get back in shape.
Such a great video, easily explained and demonstrated...thanks mate!
This video is packed! Gives me a lot of inspiration to practice :)
A really nice, non judgemental, step by step guide on things that will actually make things more fun. Cheers
The ABSOLUTE FIRST thing you need to learn in progression is riding switch with carves in BOTH directions. Then move on to these.
@kkunitak

Agreed. Much easier if you move your bindings into the middle of the board (I have a burton process flying V, so the EST/infinite channel bindings make it easy to move the bindings forward so they are absolutely centered on my board)... also adjust the angles so your bindings are completely symmetrical. That way you can ride half the day switch and half regular so your muscles get a break on each side, usually I ride all day and get 35K vertical or so.

I respectfully disagree. There is no reason why you can't learn these basics before learning to carve switch (learning switch, however, is key to upping your game). These four basic moves will really get your balance cranked up. Like the coach says ... start off on less slope with less speed. And make sure you have situational awareness (be aware of the space and those around you) turned up as you always should.
Cant wait to try some new tricks on the slopes! Thanks for this 😄✌
Your explanations are as clear and precise as your skill is awesome ! Thanks for this video 😊
Thank you for your help, I understood every bit of it and I can’t wait to try everything on the slopes
Aaah yeah... Whistler. Had a great time there this year, longing to get back to shred and the Splitz 🍔 Great vid 👍
Snowboarding next week I can’t wait to try these new moves
I feel complete now. Not sure how I made this far in life without this. Thank you
Awesome video and amazing quality! Really nice explanations. Subbed!
Wow, your really good teacher! Def gonna give these a try in the same sequence...nice.
Wow this is incredibly helpful. Snow boarding for me has been a solo learning experience so thanks.
great vid just what i needed i have a lot of tricks but need to improve butters and i think this is the best vid for it !
Great video! You really explained and demonstrated everything well. You ride that board beautifully; it looks like an extension of your body. It will give me something fun to practice on my future runs. Subscribed, and I'll watch your other videos. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the tips You make it look so easy
Absolutely great video man, thaks a lot!!
This was a perfect tutorial Helped unhook my rotations thank you!
I’m so addicted to snowboard this was just a nice injection to the snow vein, thanks!!!
Just got myself a nice new jib board so can't wait to take some of these pointers with me on to the mountain!
I got a concussion snowboarding last weekend and now I am in the hospital, that day was completely erased from my memory. It’s a shame that I don’t even remember whether I learned how to do all the ollies and nollies properly. I will have to learn to do them again
These tricks are great!thank you ,i ll start practice just like that
I can’t wait this will be my first full season
This is just the type of video I like to see!
I've tried this, it works! today many people told me my riding is improving. Thanks SA
I ride bmx for a long time now and been boarding for a few.. Last winter season ( in Germany) I got in practicing basic skills based on your videos I found out that besides getting better in boarding, I really gained more overall balance when riding bmx Its crazy how much balance you get when practicing basic snowboard skills like buttering and doing flat spins and jumps ( combined too) Keeep it up, nice videos!
