Tommy Trash's love letter to Bob Sinclar's boat jams is too damn good
3:55 “I started to add a _little bit_ of drums” proceeds to hit a insane complex groove. Gotta love Rachel
"It's house music man, you dont gotta overcook it" are some truly wise words.
Rachael did really well! Loved her vocal chops and creating a full background beat that felt like it could be played at any festival. Loved it!
This is usually the world's greatest overproducing competition so I can appreciate Ocean's approach to keeping it simple. Rachel did do ridiculous things with that sample though.

IF there's something called overproducing, THEN there's also something called underproducing. While Rachel's track felt like the former, Ocean's beat felt like latter.
@boogeyratt
Жыл бұрын
That's normally the point of the series, no? You can't take a squeaky door and turn it into a bass track without "overproducing" it.
@yove2934
Жыл бұрын
Nothing was overproduced. lol It would have made sense if you said Ocean's track was a bit underproduced. It couldn't compare to the other tracks imo in ways of creativity and quality. Not even close.

Oceans beat is more of a beat you can rap on
Theres a few people that could just be on here time and time again - Rachel's definitely one of them. Love the series.
The contrast between EDM production and hip-hop production was quite staggering. But they work for their respective genres, both absolutely great. But Rachel made that sample sound so clean no matter how she used it. I’ll be studying her production and incorporate it as a hip-hop producer.
@legendson5567

You're a gee for giving putting out this idea.
I love how this is always a mutual appreciation show, no competition. Nevertheless, after hearing Rachel’s version I’d’ve asked for another crack at it. All great all around as usual, but what she did was inhuman extraterrestrial shift. Well done.
What a time to be alive… taking a song recorded in the 70s with analog gear, chopping it up, and slapping RC-20 on it to give it… that vintage feeling. 😅 Jokes aside, amazing series. It’s great to see the wildly different approaches producers have to these challenges.
@dinisfreire6835

well back when people started chopping 70s songs recoded with analog gear they did it using analog samplers, rc-20 gives that analog sampler vibe so...

Yeah I think 70s is very modern so that RC-20 is important

I loved Rachel's entry, a really rich composition on itself, never boring and full of unexpected and beautiful bits.
Rachel’s lucky cat waving in time with the beat at 3:51 is the best thing ever
Tommy Trash's song reminded me soooooooooo much of Daft Punk!!! Loved your track too Rachel! Great series, keep it goin Andrew!!!
When I saw the project for Ocean's, I got slightly disappointed since it was incredibly small, but all of my worries flew out the window when I heard the final product. Ocean is really good making chill music in general and this was no exception

I'm a broken record, but i love this - always my fav series.
Rachel's version is by far my favorite. She did so many unique things, that was crazy
All four tracks were SO good. One of my favorite episodes. Loved Rachel's track. She always kills it.
Tommy's energy is so infectious haha. Love this series, one of my favorites on KZread. Hopefully more to come in the future!
Oh my god! You're actually sampling Sound Experience? I grew up listening to their songs on my aunt's cassette deck. Haven't even gotten to the sampling part of the video yet, so still very excited to see what you're doing with this.

Happy to see Rachel back on the series! I loved the microfreak episode. As someone who has been wondering about how to really make a song with samples, Rachel's overview was very helpful. Thank you all! Thanks Ocean for showing how to use Serato here too! I love all of the tracks. Good job everyone!
I am shocked! This was so good, I can't get over it. It's late at night and I should go to bed but I can't stop staring at my screen and researching every producer you had on the show.
I like to watch the reactions before the breakdown, feels like i discover the tracks with them at the same time, then i get to understand how they are made after. Great content as always Andrew!!!
Tommy's track really sounds like Daft Punk and I love it
everyone here is so talented but its mindblowing how much of a difference andrew's track has to everyone elses. 10/10 production value so full.
It was just yesterday and I was thinking about 4 producers. Thanks for brightening up my Monday Andrew!
this one was so special for me. it was not just a combination of production and mixing technics but more than that, it sound for me like the emphasis was more on the taste than any thing else. and i must tell you all four producers did their thing on this one. it is tasty indeed !!!
this is one of the best samples you could have picked oh my lord im busting at the seams! andrew, holy moley everyones track is so good!!!
Saw Rachel a couple of years ago now at an ableton live session in Sheffield, she really is the real deal! Great to see her killing it! Tommy & Ocean’s beats were actually class!

LETS GO 💪 On god, Andrew's tasteful production has me on the floor once again, enamored.
I have enjoyed this series so much. My son has gotten into music from watching your videos and especially this series as he learns so much from each person's perspective and how they hear and interpret the same sample. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Ocean's track gave me strong Avalanches vibes (which you'd think wouldn't be quite such a rare occurrence on a sample-focused series like this one!) A real Daft Punk feel to Tommy Trash's flip, as well! But Andrew's track has to be my favorite, great atmosphere
I look forward to this series and come back to the videos all the time. A couple of these songs have become personal favorites and every episode is inspiring. Thanks!
Andrew slayed this remix, such a good sample to work with. I love Ocean but his beat was kind of a let down for me, I'm all for keeping it simple but that was just too rushed and could have taken it further. Love the series and mad respect to all of you!
Thanks for letting me be about of it!

Andrew you killed this one!! Love your version!!
Loved them all! Loved Ocean's beats and chops, Rachel's compositional skills and acapella trick, Tommy's beat had energy, and Andrews sounded like something The Roots might've put together. Amazing!
I love you and all that you do, my friend. Thank you for all you do for the music community! So much inspiration. Proud to be a fellow Canadian!
Andrew --- your mix was like a Neo-soul hit for 2022! Very well done, bro!

tommy is the reason I got into production and sound design in the first place. sooooo fucking cool to see him interact with you guys and have him in this process. super dope video
The thing with these producers is, that they make the whole thing look so simple! But what they're producing in such short amount of time is testimony to the fact that they've spent a million HOURS trying to hone their skills!! As always, smashing episode on 4 Producers flip the sample.

Can't wait for the track to be released on Spotify Andrew! Great work to all the producers!!!
Andrew killed this one hands down. Each change up was great and has it's own vibe but it kept with the original theme. Excellent work.
This was a great episode. I'd really love to see eliminate and bishu take part of this challenge!
Such great tracks. My favorite part of this series is just watching the different producers groove to each other's music. Always something to love and lift up. Bonus kitty grooving to Andrew's track.
Phenomenal session as usual. I love the wide range of diverse talent this time around. Rachels stood out to me the most because her arrangement sounded dynamic.
Andrew is just way too good at this
You can absolutely tell how much time Rachel put into her song and it definitely payed off. Absolute banger!
Somehow these feel like they just keep getting better and better Andrew you rocked it!!
I honestly feel like I learn so much more about sampling and how to develop the thought process for building tracks and making sounds and things of that nature from these types of videos than any tutorial available out there. Thank you so much for this series! It’s truly inspiring! And a lot of help! Also dope tracks to everyone in this!

so inspiring. i love hearing the differences in what other people can create. best series on youtube
Super dope. Each and every version. Each so different yet they all had a summer-y joy to them.
Ocean’s track is screaming for a rapper to just bar out. I like how simple it is to be honest
Andrew's track is just lovely.
Just discovered the channel, Andrew, the concept... Awesome. Feels great to see a video so packed with talent, so much worth the time
Been waiting for another of these videos forever!!! Thanks Andrew :)
Loved Rachel’s track! Those chops were wild. Great bass line. Andrew’s track was super chill. Love those chord choices.
I wish we could have a 4 producers ep every week or month. Best series EVER. much love
Andrew once again man YOU DELIVERED, love your ways using samples ❤
Sheesh Andrew. Your track was on another level this time. You never cease to amaze.
Soul samples are special. Everyone of these turned out great.
Always love these 4 Producers vids. Rachel takes this one for me.
That was fun to watch, mad talent all of you!
Please never stop making these! Always gets my creative juices flowing and is very inspiring! Also all tracks were dope but man Andrew your track got me moving haha
Andrew killed his remix!! That's your strength man, that hip hop rnb chill bass stuff. So good!! Rachel, absolutely killed it. Just so good. Tommy, I've seen you live and I'm a fan haha knew it was gonna be sick!
rachel was using the same chord sequence as in pink floyds “echoes”, of course that sounds great!
really happy to have this series back! amazing stuff ❤️❤️
I've been waiting this for sooo long 🥳
All those were 🔥 - but shout out to my Aussie mate Tommy for bringing the house beat. Love it !!!! 🇦🇺
Everyone's tracks are excellent in different ways. I feel like, as usual, Andrew's stuff is on another level, but history shows I'm biased ;)
Oh man the way Andrew flipped the chord progression was so ridiculously tasteful. Thoroughly enjoyed all of them.
Andrew Huang has THE best ear! Musician almost 60 years of age noticing this ! Peace from Detroit MI.

Rachel and Andrew went for a masterpiece sound while Ocean and Tommy went for more of a hit song kind of vibe.
